Really cool car you've got there. I got to see it when I was dropping by Best of Show to check on my project, I thought it was Penny at first  No, actually when I saw it, I couldn't help but drool over all of the little details on the car.

One question too, what kind of door sill plates do you have? I seem to remember them being carbon fiber, or finished with it, did you make them?

About a month ago now I got to spend some with this car and James for a few days. James has built a very nice car, the paint work is amazing and the details on this car are never ending. James really did his homework when he built this car, He has really put togther a well balanced selection of parts and installed very cleanly. James's car is a show car that he intends to beat on and never put up on top of mirrors again. He is ultra detail oriented and wants everything to not just be nice but perfect.

This is one of my all time favorites.

Nice car James,

Thanks Matt - your project looks like it is going to be really cool.

The sill panels are nothing special -just generic plastic that looks like carbon. Better than the stockers and pretty cheap. I think that I got them at Firewheel Classics.

Thanks again for the hospitality Rodger. If anyone has the opportunity to swing by Inronworks Speed and Kustom in Bakersfield you will be amazed at the quality and variety of projects that Rodger has on the go.

I never really intended for the car to come out as well - appearance wise - as it did. Hat's off the Chris and everybody at Heighton Restorations. It's by no means perfect but I think that the details are there.

Some more pictures from Del Mar of the car in action...

Great picture^^^^.

I stopped in @ Dave & Mary's yesterday and am getting quite spoiled looking at perfect 1968 Camaro's,lol. First Penny, now the One Lap Camaro...both simply awesome cars.

What amazes me most about this car is the paint and the attention to detail.
The amount of time spent color-sanding and buffing this car really shows in the end result,I looked as hard as I could when it was on the lift under the harsh shop lights and could not find one spec of orange peel, having painted cars,it was amazing to me to see just how perfect the rockers were, just a flawless speciment...job well done indeed!:hail:

It is as beautiful on the underside as it is on top. Most awesome and I'm thankful I got the opportunity to see it in that setting and snap photographs.
