That's good news. Keep an eye on it...it's not done yet. But if you are happy with the ride height you could tighten things up.

Glad to hear it worked out for you.

here is my 69 with the DSE 2" drop in the rear. I am still working out my stance so ignore the rake. The front has to come up a tad and I might try to add a 1" lowering block to get the rear down a little more until I decide on the G-Bar or not.

car looks GREAT with the new wheels!!
but it really looks like those muffler wont survive if you lower it an inch.
are they borla's? they look like it by the shape, i have them and due to the shape of them there hard to tuck, im thinking of doing what they did to the rear pans on the dse test car to tuck them better.

 ! I was under the car today trying to figure out what I am going to do with my exhaust. They are actually Flowmaster 40's. I have been wanting to ditch them for a while now. Thinking about going with Magnaflow kit. Looks like it tucks up pretty well.

Ok scottybuck 11 here's a picture of my car with a set of GW 3" drop springs. It took a few months but it did come down from the height of the initial install, about 1.5". If you are still working on the car and it is not being driven, I would suggest leaving everything loose and keep some weight in the trunk. Get some measurements so you can track the drop. So basically don't panic yet. Maybe a few guys with the DSE 2" drop springs can post some pics for comparison.

As for any feelings of being stupid...you can totally dismiss those. Lots of guys have been in your shoes including me.

So, you just rolled the lip to stuff those 285's under there? Looks great

Nope. It fit fine, but I was a bit nervous that a big bump or dip might just cause a huge problem. So I lightly rolled the upper part of the lip. If I did it again I wouldn't bother.

Glad you like it.

Sorry for the threadjack/ Are you running 18x10's with 5.5 b.s? No rubbing? Do they stick out at all? I checked out your pics, but could'nt find a shot from the rear.
I've been thinking about minitubbing my 67 bird, but I think I'd be happy with a similar setup. Thanks.
