stock LS1 w/ Texas speed and performance cam kit 228R, headers, tune, cold air intake, ported throttle body, LS6 intake ect. |

Tones2ss, This will be my first big block. I'm kind of looking for ideas on how to set it up. Looking for 450+hp and 450+tq. It will be street driven but not a daily driver. I'll have a manual trans behind it. And it will be abused on a regular basis by my right foot.:unibrow:
So which heads? Intake? Cam? It is a stock mid 70's 454 out of a 3/4 ton truck. It runs good now but has about 100k on it so I will tear it down and do a full rebuild. I am planning to use the stock crank and rods as long as they check out ok. (unless there is a cost efficient way to stroke it?) Thanks for any ideas/tips, Eric |
