The radiator is a Griffin from 1996 out of Red Witch.
The car has DSE mini tubs and DSE 4 link. My plan for this '69 is kinda a Porsche 911 deal. Just keep evolving it. Porsche kept the same car for years and just kept tweeking it. I have liked many aspects of all the cars I built. They all were a learning experience. I saw the Thrasher again last winter and thought the car still looked great. So I want to do another red one. Fikse is making me some wheels right now with a new design (very cool). Those guys are great and I have worked with them since 1994. Just having some fun building another car and digging some old parts out of the attic. Mark |

Charley --- I sold Bob a very very clean 69 drop top 307 - 3 speed column car that was this same turquoise... YOU KNOW YOU NEED A DROP TOP CAMARO to round out "the shed"!!! LOL
I agree with Mark - There is just something about a nice 69 Camaro that is hard to beat. If you can keep building them and making them better and better... why not! |
Well, you answered my questions Mark. Granted I haven't driven any of them but they all looked so amazing and built with such precision that I had always wondered why build another. I know building them has to be part of the fun as well. So what is different about this one compared the X since you say you really liked that one.
Thanks |
After working on Camaro X I did not like the not being able to use the stock oil pan with a stock front clip. I liked the way Jackass was going togther so I copied a lot off that car.
I really like the way the engine bay is turning out on my new car. http://i439.photobucket.com/albums/q...5/DSC_2252.jpg The Vintage Air front runner looks great. The headers fit well and the induction tube and rad turned out very well. |
No, don't build a 2nd gen. We don't need the bar set even higher, lol.
What brake booster is that? |
Besides, I don't think that anyone ever said "Hey, Michelangelo...enough with the chapel ceiling stuff...I want you to paint my house" or "Hey Bach...grab that kazoo and let's see what you can really do"[/QUOTE]
        |

Who could get sick of building 69 Camaros? I really like the fine tuning phase. It's so rewarding. I can only imagine how much better every car turns out. All the bugs you have fixed on the previous cars don't exist. Sounds like fun to me. I'm not ready for number 2 but I've learned more than I expected.

Mark, what are you using for motor mount adapters, headers and transmission crossmember? Are they made by DSE?
I have the DSE subframe and was wondering which headers would work with the ATS mounts and T56 crossmember. |
