Interesting. I actually like the old school header wrap look too. Thanks for the heads up.

Oh, and those are some of my favorite wheels too!!

Thanks. Each track day, more and more of the single stage earl sheib paint job comes off

I kind of like the rough look, its fitting for a car that gets used a lot. I think it needs a CB radio to complete the look

Already spoke with Dan Lemons. Nice guy who really knows his product and cars. Unfortunately the build time is 3 weeks, and at $1500, not exactly cheap. I'm getting my existing driver side header reworked for less than $400, it will work for now...

On the one picture labeled Buttonwillow, you are making a left turn and it looks like the tire is being pulled off the rim.

Its the tire size... I could probably fit a 245/40/17 but its a 235...

if you're looking for a place to get your headers coated, ive used engineered applications in vernon, ca quite a bit. they are reasonally priced, (about ~$175 for a set of long tubes) and can do different colors as well. (ive seen their black and blue)

fwiw they do all the coating for tti headers. might be worth giving them a call

Just picked up the car from Lee Manufacturing. I had no idea how much a power steering setup could transform a car. Its a whole new animal. Point and shoot is the best way to describe it. Its going to take some getting used to. :willy:

The Hooker headers are still wedged up in there and I need to figure out my header situation now...

Tires can distort crazy amounts laterally in a hard corner. It takes a picture - or an eye that knows to specifically look for it - to see it. A 245 tire on the same wheels would likely distort a bit more than that, but might hide it a little better because it starts out with a little more 'bulge' overhanging the wheel flange to begin with.
