Guys I do not know what your personal dealings with Tyler have been. I will admit that he has been very difficult to reach the last few months and I know you are frustrated. I agree that you have every right to be so. I would ask that you try to keep in mind that Tyler has had a lot on his plate this last year. I can't imagine going through what he has in his personal life and then adding the business dealings on top of that. Add the job at Anvil and you've got one heck of a load! I am not saying that you should pay for an item or a fee that you feel is unfair because of that. Tyler is still the same dedicated guy who wants all of us to have his product on our cars and to be happy with them. He has always gone the extra mile to help me and never let me down. I am positive that if you where to talk to him about the issue he would make it right. Sadly, it just takes a bit longer than any of us, including Tyler, would like. Calling him out here won't help any. I'm sure if anyone did that to you it would only piss you off and make things harder. Understanding will get you a long ways.

With all due respect to Curtis. The compassion stops when lies begin.

End of story. None of us know the truth so its really a mute point but if their is any truth to the story that Tyler is intentionally misrepresenting his ability to deliver. (saying things are in stock that are not) then it's end game.

Keep in mind I just recieved in the mail three ATS parts that I bought from ironworks. Also keep in mind that I really want his spindles but don't want to wait a year for them. Nor would I tolerate any lies.

Lastly I know he is reported to be a good guy and everybody loves him but these issues are pretty prevelant The community at whole (not just the guys who know him or are vendors or have gotten their parts easy cause they know someone who knows him) but the vast majority or the community should not stand for this type of buisness practice. Enough is enough.

Business is one thing, friends and fun are another. Everyone should try and be ethical and treat people how they would expect to be and use proper business ethics.

Many worry about the money first and not the customer service. Huge mistake. Provide awesome customer service and have integrity and wala money shows up, over and over.

Ok guys heres a PM from a little over a week ago that I sent Tyler. As you can see I was at the end with his service
Quote:

Tyler I saw that you were online today but you didnt answer my PM. I know your a busy guy and have a day job. But while your surfing on here one would think you could answer a PM.
I ordered a set of spindles at the end of Nov or early Dec. I called left you a message and you returned my call. I then went over parts and placed the order over the phone. I waited while every couple months checked in. I would get the machine when I called and you didnt return my PM's. Now that the spindles came in Im not on the list. You were going to make it right and get them out last Friday, I thought cool! I also ordered a Oil Pan from you and checked stock before I ordered. I was told it was ready to go. That also hasnt shipped. I PMed you last night about motor mounts, hey I figured Im running other ATS stuff so why not order these. So I thought I better PM him first about the whole order. I saw you logged in and notta!
At this point I dont know what to do. I like your product and would love to run them on my car. But seems like you dont want to sell them. Or let people know if there's a problem, if so give a update.
I PMed you about my spindle order months ago to get a update. If it would have been replied to I would have learned something happened to my order. Then I could have got on the list.
So at this point if these parts cant ship out I would like my cash back.
Thanks for your time, Steve
So I finally got a PM back saying they shipped that day. Im one day shipping from LA, UPS. SO, after reviewing all of this again I can see whats going on.
I was going to cancel so he sent something that was if I tried to cancel he would pull the 20% deal.
Hes logged on here and hasnt replied to this topic. I cant say Im shocked!

Well I can say it is hard to get a hold of Tyler. But I did buy my spindles and had no issues and like most of us when I found out he would be closing shop I jumped to get my steering arms. I got them a week later and are still in the box in my garage.

We all know from what has been posted Tyler has had a bad streak but seems to be getting better. Like any other company it will take time for everything to fall into place.

If we all had bought parts when things were going smooth well maybe he did not have to down size and be put in the situation he is now in. We all know ATS has great product but we also knew if we needed a part he would make things happen to get them to us when we needed them. That was the support we got from ATS/Tyler. So as a customer where were we? I think the downsizing answers that question and yet he has made every effort to keep his quality product in the market with only one concession, we will need to wait for out parts and in some cases longer than others due to his suppliers.

Until Tyler post we are only hearing one side of the story.

Tyler I will offer my support so if you ever need a extra set of hands let me know.

Like he hasn't read this thread. Has anyone here been taken for their hard earned dollar? If not, then feel lucky that the parts were available in the first place. I for one, don't have the patience or time to make one off parts. I don't agree with bad business but sometimes life gets in the way guys. Cars aren't the number one concern in anyones life.

vegas sorry but it ends when you check stock and the guy tells him its in stock and it's not. like i said thats bs. ats will never see any of my money now. and yes he was taken for 20 percent when the parts weren't in stock when he was told they were

Hey Congratulations on the arrival of your Baby, I own 2 businesses and no matter which way you look at it, the buck stops with the owner of the business, if its part time, its still your problem, I wish people would stop trying to defend someone that just flat out isn't living up to the expectations of what it is to be in business, full or part time. all you ask for is people to be honest and up front.

Greg

There it is in a nutshell... He took the money without any hesitation... didn't ship the parts... shipped crappy rusted parts... and LIED.

THAT my friends is the classic way to END YOUR BUSINESS... because nobody will do business with you no matter how good your parts are. You just can't run a business this way and get away with it.

Without honesty you have NOTHING.

Wow. You guys have no idea how the automotive industry has changed in the past 10 years apparently. If you think companies carry stock in ANY product you're in for a surprise. Welcome to the world of drop shipping. The internet has changed the way people do business. The sad part is, we all have a tendency to cross shop against summit etc. Its Amazing smaller speed shops can even stay in business these days.

Regardless I think this should be taken to a PM and not turned into a Witch Hunt.

I dont need one off parts. Ill just order the Autokraft pan. Shoot I could have saved 25.00 if I would have ordered the mounts and pan at the same time. The Autokraft pan was 175.00 cheaper. Heres the crazy part. I called and ordered the mounts from Autokraft three weeks after I ordered the pan from ATS. I got the mounts last week!
I know a lot of you like Tyler as a person. Im sure hes a good guy as a person. But I just dont see how some of you can try and justify his business actions. I guess I need to post more PM's maybe? Your asking for his side, there is none! Its simple, I just posted a PM to him!
Really guys, how long does it take to get a gasket and fittings in?
So those of you that support him. How would you feel if I sold you a part and said I would ship it right away and then waited over a month or longer? Hey Im a good guy!
