I asked about the price of the 70-72 dash in the door panel thread. Do you have a price for the steel dash?

An all steel dash is around $8,000 to $10,000 its a lot of work to build from scratch that is why we are working on a Fiberglass or Carbon part now. They will be out soon we have a new team working on parts full time right now, the 2010 Camaro body kits slowed down the interior but we are back on them now with the 2010 Camaro out of the way.

Custom window cranks that are designed with the ability to be installed at various depths in order to reach through super-thick reproduction door panels or so as not to stick way out from a set of custom thin panels. From pictures it appears a setup similar to the Lokar window cranks could work and could provide the needed adjustability.

How about a billet grille for a 69 RS, that is spaced to to fit the headlight doors. I bought a billet grille from Zoops, and while it is a nice piece, the guys at best of show nixed it before I ever saw it mounted because they said none of the lines from the headlight doors carried over to the center grille, which made everything look mismatched.

Any update on the availability and price of the fiberglass version of your '70 to '72 Chevelle dash?

Just another reason I hate Zoops products. I used to deal with their stuff way back when. Which was before I learned to buy a better product up front rather than settling for less first, then to only redo it right at a later date. Zoops sucks. Just my opininon though.

Fesler, my understanding was that the dash for the 70-72 Chevelle was designed by you of course and then mass produced and sold by you ready to install just as your hinges, etc is. Not totally custom made per customer. Of course it's custom made the very first time I understand. But I hope I'm making myself clear here. The reason I thought it was mass produced once designed by you is I know all the man hours it takes to make the first one, just as it did your hinges. But, once the dimensions were saved I thought you just make several to sell thereby making the price a bit less. Thanks!

A steel dash is a steel dash and they take time, if you want one out of steel you are going to pay. if you want one out of fiberglass they will be much cheaper. There is no easy part to make on a steel dash so 1 to 10 its still the same work. If we had 10 orders that might knock it down somewhat but its still a custom one off part and you can imagine how hard it is since you dont see any made like this. Its the little touches like this that make a car when most people look and think you just painted a stock dash and somehow fit new gauges and a double din in it. Then they say how did you do that? Custom is a complete new world but you will pay
