BTW -- the LAKESIDE car was a car called TIMELESS and it's a 35 FORD (not a 37) ... and an absolutely wonderful one at that!

Dude--where have you been? We almost sent out a search party for you---no posts in like 2 days---got scared---

Nope -- the people that spend REAL money on these cars are the ones that understand that it's a hobby. It's everyone ELSE that thinks they're somehow an investment.

Doug --

I'm down here running up your "investment"!!

LOL

I'm at Barrett Jackson -- but am now home (well back at my home here) not "home"... watching the auction on TV. Waiting to see what my old heep goes for and then I'm "car'd out" for the weekend. :wow:

What lot number is your old car Greg? This is the 'vette right?

Glad you are having a good time, get in touch when you're back in town.

Lot 1351 -- 67 400hp Rally Red Vette -- One of 117 like it -- and possibly one of 20 with it's option combo... all owner history - build sheet - every title etc. Multi time NCRS Top Flight car.. and RESTORED to perfection.:woot:

Might not make TV -- they seem to be really SLOW on the numbers... and I think TV is only going till 10??

The 35 Ford (Timeless) went really cheap. That is a baddass car for only $130K.

Greg said it right, normal cars are bringing proper money.

What surprises me the most ids the Corvette adjustment seems brutal, worse then the Mopar adjustment last year. Big Block Mid Year Vettes were in the $60K to $80K range, WAY down!

I mentioned that to Greg but he said those were only the "girly" cars.

Frank =

THERE ARE 120 CORVETTES here for sale --- some killer --- some (most) just "okay" cars - and several "hot rodded versions".... WAY too many Corvettes for one auction...

The car I mentioned to Greg was just prior to the Red Witch going and while it was a nice mid year, big block vert, it was not as nice as the ones getting better money.
