Amen to that John. They need to focus on the Shelby more now. yeah, the all aluminum engine helps take some weight out, but the boss 302 will spank it on a track. The z06 eats the shelby. They need to take even more weight out, lower the center of gravity and a much better wheel/tire package. It can't get the power to the ground! Basically take the the boss 302 thinking and apply it to the gt500!

Yeah no kidding - the GT500 just has too many "luxury" items. Too much leather, too many options, etc. ....what about a lightweight GT500. Articulated competition buckets (like the Boss 302), harness belts, rear seat delete, delete sound deadener, on and on...If they could even drop another 150-200lbs. that car would be even more of a monster. Imagine a GT500 making 550 hp at even 3500 lbs.??? |
