I think anything that comes out of Radrides is impressive now days. They have the talent in all disciplines of car car building. The nova build the owner posted on here a few years ago, kept me looking. Have you seen that 3rd gen camaro, I thought they were crazy, but man that thing is cool. There are alot of guys who have it together now days. Alan Johnson has built some nice cars, that last 69 is super cool.

I think James Shipka's camaro build was interesting, Not super crazy, just a nice car that got used like the owner said it would. He built a really nice car, that has shown to work. The dialing in he and the Pozzi's have done is almost more interesting to see then the build of the car. They put the car out there and openly showed the thought and ideas that went into making the car work.

I think don't think there is difference between homebuilders and guys who build cars for a living. Maybe experience and maybe access to tools. But look at Jason (#9) with the War project. That is his first build and he learned how to TIG and metal work himself since he is out of work and living off the system. :D But look at the results he has had, that car is awesome and his skills from carpentry I'm sure helped him pickup a new trade more easily. But in reality he has done most of the work on that car himself, with professional help and guidance. But really it is persistence and attention to small details that has allowed him to have the results he has had. I say all the time, anybody can do a nice job if they want to, they just have to put forth the effort. And that maybe easier said then done or not worth the effort. That might mean doing something twice or a hundred times. Talent only speeds up the process. Sure tools help, but if you can afford to build these cars in these economic times, you can afford proper tools. And it does not take fancy tools, just adequate tools. Fancy tools only speed up the process.

There are lots of guys who build a car in their garage and some body likes what they did and before you know it, someone whats you to do something, or the whole build for them. Take Youthpastor, Scott Mock, Josiah Coy and myself. All guys who started small and are doing the work for money.

The reason I like looking at Highend stuff is because it fuels the fire to improve. To me saying you prefer the average builds is like saying you wish Playboy had average girls I could get with in there. Heck no people look in there to see what they likely will never get, but man it still makes you try doesn't it.

But hay call me crazy, but nothing is never good enough. There is always better. Always.
