It sounds like this is for guys who already have a decent skill-set and jut want to go to that next level? I have a nice tig, know how to turn it on but that's about it. I'd still think about coming just for the experience and camaraderie. I bet those 12 spots fill up quick.

Can some one tell me what a Tig welder is used for.

It's used to destroy expensive parts that need to be joined via a metal melting process.

I use mine to hang a like-new welding jacket on... :_paranoid

My plan was to figure out the skill level of those guys who wanted to come and put them with guys who would be good teachers in that sector. Jason expressed interest in learning to TIG weld heavier metals and different alloys, So I would put him with an old employee of mine who is returning that can weld everything - well. I think Mario would be best to work with Brycen or Henry in on how to TIG weld sheetmetal.

This class would be good for guy to that can TIG weld well enough to keep the tungston out of the puddle. It may not be a row of dimes coming out from under the torch but teaching someone how to sharpen tungston for 16 hours would be a long weekend. But if that is where you at, bring it on. In reality this is a class for a guy who is getting started, they might have a machine they have used or have access to a machine. They have all the stuff but can't get it to work, yet.

But if you know the class is coming you might work on getting some practice before of just how to " WALK THE CUP". But if somebody wants to learn other things just speak up. We can work something out for you no problem.

If your desire is to work on sheetmetal. Yes

If you want to work on other materials and thicker stuff I have another plan.

I'm kind of waiting till I get a full class and then spilt people up accordingly then.
