Thanks for the compliments! To answer your question: We fabricated two "boxes" to weld in where the chrome insert normally would be, then flush welded the spear into the quarter and door skin.
Unfortunately, those got cut out by a sabatuer body shop (yes the same guy that left us with a mess on the RS-V, they went at the same time) and replaced with basically a 68 style scoop. We pulled the car and sent it to a new shop, but our work was already removed and the customer couldn't afford for us to do it over again, despite him wanting it. |
Some more progress pics for you.

Finished TIG welding the exhaust, so took some pics before we put it in! Enjoy:captain:

Ok so I have been slipping on photo updates since our crazy hectic move. (We moved to a new location, and not just into an existing shop, no we had to build our own by ourselves while still running a business!!!!! :willy: )
Here is some random shots of the car, its done and gone for now! http://i1204.photobucket.com/albums/...g/IMG_7972.jpg http://i1204.photobucket.com/albums/...g/IMG_7944.jpg http://i1204.photobucket.com/albums/...g/IMG_7953.jpg http://i1204.photobucket.com/albums/...g/SAM_0015.jpg http://i1204.photobucket.com/albums/...g/SAM_0020.jpg |

Nice!!!!!

Could you elaborate on the work done on the air vents on top? they look to be 66 styled vents and where they welded in? they look flush with the body

Tyler,
Big fan of the '67-68 fastbacks. I really like the unadorned grill on your build. How's it ride and drive? Vids I hope... |
