Thanks for the support guys. I guess all of us have to have one of those days every once in awhile.

http://i851.photobucket.com/albums/a...teering001.jpg Well my day started at 6:00 a.m.. I decided to put a power steering box in this car since it came with manual and I just so had one laying around from my other '69. So I pulled the manual box off and when I went to swap rag joints it appears that the one that goes on the power steering box has a larger diameter splined shaft. Looks like I'm going to have to order a new power steering box rag joint so I'm delayed a bit for now since I dont have time to dig one up right now and need to get to my real job. Hopefully I can finish up early and then try and find one at a local parts store. |
motor has been great so far! i've only put about 50 miles on it though. had the car all back together and on the road and then decided to tear it apart again to install some goodies and clean it up...i should be cruising again in 2-3 weeks:thumbsup:

Now get back down to Gilroy and finish that tranny install :D |
Once I installed the power steering box I installed the motor, trans, and driveshaft. I had to drop it down off the jack stands before I bolted in trans cross member just to get an idea of the front stance.
Looks like its going to work out perfect once I add acceseries and radiator. Oh yeah, and my Corbeau A4's showed up today. Thanks for the seats Andrew. http://i851.photobucket.com/albums/a...sstance003.jpg http://i851.photobucket.com/albums/a...sstance002.jpg http://i851.photobucket.com/albums/a...sstance001.jpg |

The guy that sold me the M-21 threw in the clutch fork but the tip of the retaining clip for the throw out bearing was broken off on one side. Who would have guessed after a few days of searching for an original oem clutch fork (didn't want to wait for it to be shipped) that Folsom Chevy would have one to me in a day. Take care of that collar bone!! |
