3.42 or 3.50 will work in a high power turbo app. A low numerical gear, can cause lugging in overdrive / low load circumstances. Conversely, too high numerical a gear will usually zing the motor right to rev limit--especially TT LS motors that are so rev happy.

Most modest NA apps with 26" tall tires like 3.73 gear ratio.
