I do plan on keeping it that way. I have actually been working on it quite a bit, just havent loaded pics! The concept that Ironworks started was really cool, they had just not finished it when I got the car. I cut it out and started over, and I think its going to work well. I plan on mounting some guages in the cowl panel that you will only be able to see when the hood is open as well since its raised up there is room to do so...

Don't you 1st gen guys like any other colors beside black or silver? Love the look your going with but the color choice isn't too exciting.

Ok,

I sort of agree with you somewhat. I love black and silver on a firstgen like everyone else, but I have built numerous of each color and I have been thinking of going with something else especially since Stielow's 67 was revealed as silver. Love his car and think its awesome, but I want something different since it will be hard to top that silver on his anyway! Haha. I am going to spray out some samples in the next couple weeks of some different colors... I will keep you guys posted, hopefully once I get back from vacation in a week or so I will have time to get some updated pics!

That dash idea from the cowl hood is very different, but it actually could work very well. I do like how the vent panel is 'molded' to meet the hood too
As for color, ...I don't know why but I'm visualizing that car in a nice vintage gold, with black striping of some sort.

Keep us posted, going to be a cool car when finished

I actually really like gold, but I am also a fan of the 69 camaro Frost Green. I am not sure what it will end up at this point, I am going to spray some Green, Gold, Blue, and Silver and see which I like the best up agains the car...

Been working on the 67 off and on. Doesnt look like I have gotten much done on it, but I feel like I have accomplished a lot. Got the cowl sealed off and the cowl panel finished up to where it fits good. Cut the dash loose and made some tabs for it, so its now removeable. I can take the entire dash loose with 6 bolts. Blocked the car a couple of times already, its ready for a couple more then paint. Still working on the dash as to how I am going to mount my guages. I have all the holes that are not needed welded up and smoothed along with the firewall being smoothed now. Here are a few pics...
