Very Nice seeing it moving along. I like those wheels.

:thankyou: Wayne! I fell for them when I saw them on Steve Rupp's blue 69.

Wow what a difference from when you got it. I would be PISSED if I found out that I had to redo my whole entire car I thought was in decent shape.

Yeah, the guys are making pretty good progress. I'm hoping that I'll be driving it later this summer. Actually, I think it would be a pretty cool daily driver. I am having the rear seats set up for car seats, so I will test it out. Funny- I don't worry about door dings in the e550, but I'm kinda a freak about my fun cars. Go figure. :lostmarbles:

It's coming along nicely Rob! Good for you. That's going to be a nice looking hot rod.

Thanks Greg! We're pretty excited about this car. The girls will have a blast going out in it.

The guys at CAR have my other hotrod. When I dropped it off, I was totally excited about the new rear end (swapping the 3:45s for 3:75s) and the rear free action link kit. After they took it for a testdrive, Kevin made a comment about the clutch and how he frogged the car. I knew the clutch was a bit of an on/off switch, but wasn't sure what to do about it. Kevin did some measurements and the clutch ratio is around 2:1. He's fixing it for me and should be close to 6:1 by next weekend. Now that has me excited!

Well, the guys got the engine/trans bolted into the subframe. We still need to bolt on the headers, bolt in the steering box/column, brake booster and inner fenders to check on clearances. I'm just glad to see more progress. Still hoping for a late summer completion, but I'm thinking early winter.

Just so I can see it was starting to look like a car again, he hung the fender.

It sucks that you're having to rebuild it, but now at least you know that it will be right. Looking good so far!

Looking Good

It has come a long way form the rust bucket.

What are the dimensions/offset on the front wheels?

Thx,
Jon

Looking awesome. I feel for you having to redo the car, but now you know for sure what you have.
