I think Trent will have his hands full this year with these rules. While I love his truck, if it is not considered purpose built than everyone should be ok.

Question on fuel tank / cell rule. If I have a BMW tank securely mounted in stock BMW position in a 68 Firebird, am I screwed?

ohsolowtrent 01-13-2013 08:15 PM

No you are not screwed, as long as it is a safe, secure and makes sense. we said stock because that usually is the safest place on the car.

Glad to see you on here Trent. Hopefully you don't take my comment as an attack. I just get worried when I see rules like this show up. In my area this type of thing has ruined local short track racing. Car counts are down and no one can sell cars because every track had unique rules all in each promoters eyes as keeping the playing field "fair". I truly hope these events continue to be successful. I really think it adds a lot to a Goodguys event and I can't wait to participate!

Chad I don't, been meaning to get on here for a while just been busy. the rules are simple most of them are to protect people from themselves, as far as the body rules we are just trying to keep the cars looking like what they represent, it was starting to show its ugly head last year the more you shorten, section, chop, narrow something you save weight so what we are doing will actually make it easier for everybody. you can still chop the top and make body mods, flare fenders ect.

A officiating wildcard?

Does your Pro-Class designation carry over into the next year for car-driver combination?

dontlifttoshift 03-11-2013 09:15 AM

No, anyone that drove their way into pro class last year starts in there regular class again this year.
