4 point Roll bar is D.S.E. -, The plate making up the corner grasps on a solid section, allowing for a solid location for mounting. Were still working on bringing in some additional bars inside, down by the seat, and up to firewall back. Yes the car is over at Rich's shop. "CrossRamRich" - Road Touring Customs If you guys are in the area, you can usually catch him there in the evening.. after 5... till.. the beers run out... So.. bring some Bud Light with you! |

Progress
Thanks fot the nudge! I need that once and a while!.
The underside has been cleaned up. Sheet-metal gone thru, seam seal as needed.. underside undercoated. Front end assembled and gapped for auto-body. Working on roll bar design down bars by the side of the seat. also have to re-design the cross bar that goes across the engine bay, as the stock original cowl hood interferes with the bar / vise versa. (Dave Gordon's car had a fiberglass hood that didn't have all that metal in the way). I am waiting on receiving the rear axle housing from Speedtec so we can test fit the new Torque Arm. Powder-coat to follow. :fluffy: :fluffy: http://i477.photobucket.com/albums/r...3f834e1cb2.jpg http://i477.photobucket.com/albums/r...9cf450378c.jpg http://i477.photobucket.com/albums/r...16ff381dae.jpg . A funny thing on the lower front panels. they had this built out mudflap type thing on the fenders, just behind the front wheels. Rich and I were looking them over, and they did one hell of a metal job on them, as they didn not appear to have been cut or modified from factory origional http://i477.photobucket.com/albums/r...o__highres.jpg http://i477.photobucket.com/albums/r..._25_39_Pro.jpg http://i477.photobucket.com/albums/r...o__highres.jpg Both sides were identical, but the outside body part, did have bondo to fill in the swooping curve. has anyone else seen this? |
Still going OD Green?
I've got a gallon of Jeep Rescue Green in my garage I'd donate to the project

Awesome build and loving the ideas of the military theme.

Color selection is in these tones.. http://i477.photobucket.com/albums/r...k/DSC06785.jpg http://i477.photobucket.com/albums/r...ge-bedside.jpg http://i477.photobucket.com/albums/r...ee-quarter.jpg http://i477.photobucket.com/albums/r...arm%20Mist.jpg . along with this.. black trim, Black hood (like the Huey helicopter had the nose). http://i477.photobucket.com/albums/r...k/caryl-28.jpg http://i477.photobucket.com/albums/r...ueyGunship.jpg :) . |
You can do a military tribute, without going overboard. Great taste on the color choice, love the 67 camaro's - very down to business looking cars.
