Looking good, really love the Jig! I want one...
Wow! Is there any panel from the original car that you'll reuse?
yea no kidding.....i dont think you even needed to buy a car in the first place
Why buy a car, when you can make one from scratch yourself! :D He..He.. Really cool! :)
I will probably not reuse any part of the car but I need a car to take some measurements and to troubleshoot when something dont fit.
Make some progress today.

And you say its your first time messing with cars????!!!!!!!!
Jee... My first tought was, "you know...you could easily have had that 69 Camaro finally", since you we're going to buld it from scratch lol!! And eh.....at that, its not even too late you know! No but....seriously, i'm completely knocked out! From the beginning, reading your tread, i wasnt expecting anything close to this..at all!!! I mean, the original car looked kinda solid too so i got the impression you were going to build it.... WRONG!!!! Lol!!!! I was also very glad to find out that we're very close neighbours! I dont know too many guys that share the same level of passion for that kind of work, let alone close to me and i dont even mention as much as i do so its pretty cool, hope we get to meet each other sometime. Hey, beeing so close, next time you run out of gas or just need a hand, let me know, i'd gladly help out! (... As it'd get me to seeing that beast in person lol!!!) And im only like 10 minutes from you sooooo.... Sometimes we need another set of hands... Post some more when you progress...i'm watching this one come alive! Congrats on jumping into this with both feet! It takes some serious courage to do what you are doing, times 100 in a situation where you have no experience!!! Woohoooo!!!!!:wow: Lead. |

The firewall fit like s*** but after hammering I was able to have reasonable gap.

Not too bad but I had to cut and do some hammer and dolly work to have if fit nice. http://i9.photobucket.com/albums/a56...pscda326da.jpg http://i9.photobucket.com/albums/a56...ps5a707374.jpg http://i9.photobucket.com/albums/a56...ps47b0cb32.jpg Driver side need more work http://i9.photobucket.com/albums/a56...ps8a2b8733.jpg Here is the wrong spot on the firewall http://i9.photobucket.com/albums/a56...ps762010af.jpg Better gap now http://i9.photobucket.com/albums/a56...ps0edcc15b.jpg http://i9.photobucket.com/albums/a56...pseb41e967.jpg http://i9.photobucket.com/albums/a56...ps60b4f557.jpg http://i9.photobucket.com/albums/a56...ps644f191b.jpg |
