The majority of street rods/pre war cars usually seem to sell for pennies on the dollar at Barrett Jackson. I don't think that is actually a bad sales price, all things considered. Someone got a steal though, and might not even understand what they're getting...

I'm personally very happy to have NOT won the bidding contest... and glad the '33 sold for good money... it's a great car!

I second this Bret. My guess was based on mass appeal rather than vehicle value. I can't wait to see what you come up with next!
