I like the throw back slap stick and driver only console.

I don't see what all the negativity is about the Challenger. I don't have the luxury of owning any of the new Pony cars, but I have drove them. The Challenger SRT was the most practical of the 3. The Camaro SS has the potential to be a fun car, but visibility sucks, big time. The Mustang GT felt cheap and like it had no guts whatsoever.
I might be biased, but I could live with an elephant that can throw it's own weight around instead of a car you'd have to drive blind or a horse that just trips all over itself. Lets not forget, the Challenger can haul more than just one passenger and be comfortable. You might as well forget it when it comes to the other two. Their backseats are a joke. |

The Big 3 have really shot themselves for years cheaping out on interiors. I read the C7 Vettes' is much, much better than past efforts. Supposedly the 2015 Mustangs' and Challengers' are much better too. Time will tell. |

It is still a heavy car and it would get beat going through the twisty roads. But, I don't think that the people at SRT had that fact in mind. Plus,...it's still a heavy car. They were going for all drag strip car. They won those bragging rights. For now. :stirthepot: That being said, I think the ECM will "locked" as well. Which means it may be a bit difficult to add a smaller pulley, a CAI and a 93 tune. I'm sure it won't take long before the "code" is broken. lol :goggles: |

Dodge makes plenty of money on them. They could have spent some on giving their customers a high quality interior. That doesn't just come from me, it's a common complaint from owners. Hopefully they did for 2015. I was interested in it because it is a bigger (and more comfortable car IMO) than the Stang and Camaro. Plus it looks great to me. Quote:
:thankyou: |
Kinda funny,
Seems like the same conversation that might have taken place in 1970. The big powerful Mopar and the nimble ponies...... |

My thought exactly. Nothing has changed in all these years. Mopar puts out a motor but the car it's in is not worthy. Meanwhile Ford and Chevy duke it out. |

The past LX platform was old and outdated circa 1998? It was ok but could use some help. I believe the new model is on the LA platform and im told is superior. We will see. The multi link rear is well done. I very happy that we still have rear wheel drive cars. __________________ |
It surprised me to learn that Dodge was never looking to sell anywhere near as many Challengers as Ford does Mustangs and Chevy does Camaros.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------ "A Month to Wait for the Hellcat While those folks looking to buy a 2015 Dodge Challenger SXT, R/T Scat Pack or SRT392 can place their orders right now, the buyers who want the 707 horsepower will have to wait until August 8th. Production is reported to begin on September 2nd so the first Hellcat Challengers almost surely be hitting the roads before Halloween." - See more at: http://www.torquenews.com/106/order-....cnNBd17L.dpuf |
@automobilemag: 707 hp, 11.2 sec. 1/4 mile...now add one more Challenger Hellcat number to the list: $60,990
