big wheels ever to big

No,not if the car is low enough. As one member said he perfers 18's because it looks nice, well that's good but the question is do you want a nice looking car or one that's just BAD ASS...

That's just me :D

looks good to me

Whitby's car looks like a 18/22. Appears so in the photos posted.

I am running a 18/19 on my 69...its yellow with the hockey stripe as well.

back to your original question. I think you car looks great with 20/22

They make race tires in 18-inch.. so that's where I see the cutoff at from a "form over function" perspective. 17s are better performing (given the same type rim.. ie. forged, etc.). Sometimes you need an 18 to accomodate very large brakes but it's still not going to perform better than a 17 - all things being equal.

And there's nothing wrong with wanting to look nice. We're not building race cars, we're building street cars that perform.

I think your camaro looks good. if the car has good stance you can pull off 22's. I think a car running 22's needs major work so that it looks good at all heights which is usually slammed with ground clearance, like Johnsons cuda.

my 2 pennies

You nailed the tire and stance, and yes stance is the answer to big wheels like others i agree completley, look samazing nice color nice to see something other than red on a camaro nice work

That is by far, the best looking car I've seen on 20/22s, but still I think it would look MUCH better on 17s or 18s.

You've got a killer stance. I didn't think it was possible for those sizes to look good.

That black car posted further down the topic is absolutely hideous IMHO though... too much difference between the front/rear sizes, and all cars look dumb when the wheels are cambered way in from dropping them so low on bags - it looks broken, not cool.

I think it looks good , but whats up with the heavy chrome wheels ? Boze? I usually see those on some escalades and stuff, a billet wheel would look much better and be much ligther.

keep the pics coming

If we are limiting our discussion to "LOOKS" alone it is just a matter of ones personal opinion..
Most younger guys (30 and under) like the look of a well executed 20" or even 22" wheel on 1st gen cars..
Being an old fart (46) I do not like anything more than a 18" on most cars.
To me 22"+ wheels look cartoonish...
