Musclerodz, Thanks! Big Red as it sits today is still my favorite. It gets swapped around to different setups for different events, but it's still the same underneath. :)

Neil B, Thanks for your support. Everyone who has watched the show is counted by the cable providers...even if you've recorded it on a DVR. All those numbers help us get ratings for a possible second season.

The rumble strip makes quite a racket in the car at high speed. You want as little as possible, so staying centered was important when we could.

Loved the fact that the "supercars" of the late 1980's had their doors blown off by a young racer in a bad ass 1969 Camaro with a crazy fast engine and the ability to use them as they were designed, to go wicked fast. Unlimited fast. Typical, they changed the rules of the race after RJ and Big Red embarrassed them.

I'm so amazed that a car that was a pathfinder of the sport known as "Pro Touring" is still spanking and putting the hurt on cars that have been give the title "supercars" 30 years later.

RJ, you are the MAN!!
Big Red, it is the MACHINE!!

Race On!!

Can't wait for next week's episode

Thanks DETON8R! We definitely had some competition who wasn't happy when more people would flock around Big Red at the pre-race shows, instead of the expensive supercars. Over the years, those owners have come to understand and it's been a little fun rivalry...at least from what we can tell. We are glad to know we still had fans after the car came out of retirement. Thanks for your support and kind words.
Hope you enjoy all the episodes!

GrabberGT,

Thanks for liking something that's not the typical junk you see that's called "reality TV." We hoped to break that mold. Maybe it's not as entertaining, but it's real. That was our end goal. Real.

Heep,
We hope to get it on BluRay or some other media so all people can enjoy it. We'll keep everyone posted. If you send us your email address to "Instagram @bigredcamaro.com" (without the space before the @), we have an email list that will keep fans posted to the upcoming events and special deals on merchandise. It will also get you special bonuses, like Big Red prizes. Right now we're giving away a free shirt to the 69th email to this address. :ups:

Its channel 220 on direct tv. I set my dvr to record the series. The first time I saw a 69 Camaro, I wanted one. I remember reading about Big Red in high school. and wanting one even more.

All I have to say is running a 69 Camaro at 220 mph plus is just insane. RJ, the crew, and Big Red are just awesome. Can't wait for the next show.

Den69RS96,
Thanks for watching and for your kind words! It does get a little hairy at 220+ on the asphalt. Imagine what it's like on dirt and salt. ;) At least when we're on dirt and salt, we have the grille plugged to get some air around the car.
Looks like you've got yourself your own nice '69 Camaro! Hope you like all the episodes.

FWIW - Seeing Big Red's performance in the '89 Silver State and all the well deserved hype that followed was what drove me to finally buy a '69 Camaro that year. The desire started in 1975 at high school when a friend bought a clean '69 Z/28. After about the third good ride in his car I wanted one bad, it didn't help that he was dating my next door neighbor when he first bought the car........the rest is history.

Sieg,
Thanks for having good taste in "real" TV. :)

Glad that you and others here on Lateral-G have been loyal fans for so long and that Big Red is still in all your hearts.

Sounds like you have had '69s in your life for a while. Seeing Big Red was probably just the cherry on top of the Camaro from '75. :relax:

Great show and I'm already wanting more! I wasn't ready to stop watching. The show was definitely done the right way. Looking forward to the next episode!

Thanks 98 RS,

We would have made it 2 hours if we could have. Maybe some more footage will get added as a bonus if we're able to go through with releasing on BluRay. Hope you enjoy the following episodes. :)
