Its a 4" ATL cap it is non venting. We will vent the tube inline and run a large tank vent to get it to fill well with a California fuel fill nozzle. They suck so bad.

Thanks for the explanation, Rodger.

Nice build, as usual guys!
I had to look up pictures of a "California fuel fill nozzle". Wow...

I absolutely hate pumping gas on a muscle car that wont hold the nozzle itself while it pumps. So we did this. I'm way to tall to neal down and pump the gas behind the license plate of a muscle car for 10 minutes. This car is meant to haul ass and be fun and easy to drive. Yes it has some race parts but that will just make it fun to drive faster. We plan to put some cup holders and some other stuff to make it user friendly.

Kind of what pro-touring used to be.

Well said and very nice build.

btw I am a little taller then Greg (not much) and I also hate bending down to pump gas in the 70.

Cool stuff guys.

We discovered the extra reservoir on a 2014 Z28 we worked on as well. LS7 Z06's didn't have that. Turns out it's just for additional capacity.

What are you doing about power steering? I hear Wegner is working on something, but no ETA yet.

Actually the 2009 and later LS7, LS3 (dry sump GS motor) and ZR1's all have the added on "piggyback" oil tank that increases capacity to 10.5 QTs from the 8 QTs that the 2006-08 Z06s had. You might want to talk to Aviad or Lingenfelter about improving the LT4s dry sump tank by modifying the lower sump, it would make for an easier packaging than the GM "patchwork" that was done as a "dirty and cheap" solution to allow use of existing parts to be retained in the oiling fix.

Nice build Rodger! This is going to be a wild ride with that motor in it. Body lines look nice and crisp.

I don't think the OE tank will fit there with the secondary tank.

The OE tank wont fit there even without the extra tank. Its too tall and would require quite a large access door for the dipstick and top connections in the top of the fender. The tank will be going up front just like we planned. ( only without the bungee cord ) We have some ideas on ways to complete the package that the customer and I think will look good.

Only his opinion matters.
