What automatic did you chose behind the LT4 (a fantastic choice btw!)?
|
8l90, which should be a good fit in that truck, but man are they tall. The pan is at least 1.5" lower than the 4L80

I like where this is going. Nice job Ben and crew.
The first thing I think of is the cabs on trucks of that era are TINY. I couldn't even release the clutch on a friends truck without hitting the dash or wheel. I always wonder were people that much shorter back then? |

Gofast- Thanks! I can't claim to be a part of any of the cool work that's going into the truck outside of initial design and snapping the pics as it all unfolds. We've got a great crew here at our shop, they're all very talented in their specific duties, and just plugging along out of the limelight they don't often get the recognition they receive. Speedtech wouldn't be what it is without them.

Next on the list is doing some test fitting and mock up. Pictured are the rear tires in place, the front and rear tire sizes we're using on the truck, and finally the late model Mustang seats and console that are going in. This thing just gets cooler and cooler as it unfolds!

Ben, would love to know what seat controllers your going to use with those seats??? I'm considering the same ...
Thanks Steve |

Thanks
LOL .. ya thanks Blake I know, but I figured you must have planned this out if your going to use the OEM mustang controllers or make your own somehow... this is way outside my knowledge base and I am very interested as I have an opportunity to get a set and have no idea how to complete the electrical on these.
Cheers Steve |
Sheck- I'll be sure to grab pics on that as we get to that point.
Here's the front tire getting fit to find wheel back space. Between the ExtReme frame's huge clearance and the wide fenders there's lots of room in there for fat meats. This is a big tire, crazy how it gets swallowed up in there! https://i.imgur.com/Rndf7ef.jpg https://i.imgur.com/yaTJQBQ.jpg Also in the works is the preliminary metal work to create a flush mount windshield. The back window will get this treatment too to help smooth things a bit. Note also the rust repair near the drip rail went well. https://i.imgur.com/uohrX7v.jpg https://i.imgur.com/oacK96P.jpg |
