I'm using Hot Rod Fuel hose on this project, he has been stellar with his service , the product is very nice, and prices decent. Does anybody else have any reviews of him?

Most fuel has ethanol in it now and will eat most of the an type hose. You have to make sure it is specifically rated for ethanol. In CA all pump gas has ethanol.

That, along with coercive pricing, made me switch to using all Redhorse. Everything I set up is Compatible all the way up to E85.. pumps and all

Am I missing something here and excuse me for being dense, but who in their right mind is going to use a push on fitting with 60 psi on a fuel line? The PTFE hose isn't all that bad to work with IMHO.

Theorhetically, once it's crimped, it should work. I use threaded AN ends on AN hose.. but the barbs in there aren't any better maybe than the push loc ones.. maybe crimpload is higher.

But OP was using a PushLoc that let go. I've even seen Nylon Fuel line, like factory GM, give out without a crimp.

I use AN, haven't had an issue yet

Granted, OP put a round peg in a square hole- right fitting, wrong hose. Just seems the easy way out isn't necessarily good. AN for fuel.

Areoquip pushlock. 250 PSI no crimping. My problem was I was using their black hose, non fuel rated. Just picked up rolls of 6 and 8AN fuel rated. No crimp / clamp made to fit it. They state a crimp could damage it. Look up Areoquip AQP FC332-08

I believe you are incorrect. Hydraulic shop clerk gave me the wrong Areoquip hose. I just needed the blue AQP hose rated for fuel. Still pushes on with no crimp and is good for 250 PSI. Got the right stuff today still push loc.

Check out the Areoquip push loc AQP hose. I've posted the specs below for your perusal.

I've used gates efi hose for years on a bunch of cars without any issues? The hose was used with 6an push lock fittings all the time but I always used efi hose clamps in conjunction. I never had an issue. Link below to hose I've used. Gates 3/8 efi hose with 6an push lock fittings.

In the first few lines of the first link below it states it won't deteriorate with modern fuels.

Alright here are the specs. States it is for fuel and has a 250 psi rating. They advise AGAINST using a clamp.
