re

I would hope at some point in time all 3 would see the light of day.

The Black and Gold just jumps at me for personal reasons though.

All are nice but the difference is Ben's is a design the other 2 are just color options. Color is apersonal choice and most like the intense colors but the slate color could work. Would also love to see Ben's in a brighter color such as huggar orange or??

Thanks for all the comments, and winding the day down I want to give a big thanks to Brian, Ben and Jason the work they have done is second to none every one please keep up the input it helps us all on our final outcome we want this to be a great project for all, I also want to give a big thanks to Scott, without him we would not have this fun place to hang out, The actual voting on the renderings will come in a few days I want everyone to have a chance to look at them and think on it a while before we vote, So thanks again and keep it up.

I like Bens' rendering. That exhaust is sick.

I had some of the same thoughts. I like the 1st drawing using a different color. I would also use the W-30 hood. It gives it that mean musle car look. Incorporating the rear exhaust is cool, but I'm sure it would add to the budget big time over a orginal style one. Plus I'm not sure you will have enough room to incorporate it.

The comment on using 17" rims is correct. You need to do some homework on that. Depending on the tire size you pick and how much you lower the car will help determine wheel size. I have enclosed a pic showing my wheels and tires:

They are as follows: 235.45.18 Front Note 1/4 smaller then old style GR1470
275.35.20 Rear Note 1" taller then old style GR1570

No rubbing issues front or rear and without mini tubing.

im diggin the exaust in the rear bumper idea also. im re doing a 71 442 W-30 myself right now. i went outside to look at my car and i don't see a easy way to do it, but its a awesome idea and i hope you get it to work.

I could see going with 18s, if the price difference is within reason, but there's no place for 20s or 22s in a budget build, especially when budget and performance are the 2 main objectives.

How about 19's?

Do they cost more than 17s? (I'd guess "yes" ) With a total of only $15,000 to spend, and performance as a primary goal, I can't see any good reason to go bigger than 17. They'll clear a C5 brake setup, and are reasonably affordable while offering excellent performance. Going bigger will look better in the eyes of some, but offer no improvements in the performance... that extra money is better spent somewhere in the drivetrain, finishing the interior, or getting one of those killer W-30 hoods.

I'm sure they will cost more than 17's, but I'm not sure how much. I haven't researched that. But what I do know - you won't give up any performance going to 19's. The baddest production car this country has ever seen runs 325/30ZR19's. :D
