I had a chance to see the 66 sitting over the top of Blowfish ( on a lift of course) when I stopped by the shop of the christmas holidays to discuss a future project. @ $300K + that 66 better look good and it does:willy: I could stare at the roll cage in Blowfish all day long too.
Chicane was back for an engine rebuild, chalked up to OE from what I understand. that car is sick. Seriously, Jarad ( yes, he's back from TV land) , Troy and the rest of the guys were nothing but open to talk and put in thier $.02 on my project. I'm working up build specs now for the car. I too have been a fan of troys work since I first saw the buick in Tulsa, OK in 1992... man that comment made both of us feel old... He's not cheap. But like I told my wife, I know I won't have to worry about the car for 9 months while its getting built nor would I be upset at the final product, that I'm sure of. I might as well start booking teh flights from DIA to midway now to see it evolve.:D |
WOW!!!
That is a beauty!! I wish I could see that in person! Any more pics of this beautiful car!?!?!:hail:  |
I always wonder what they do with all the take off parts? (not only Rad's but all shops that do complete makeovers) like motors, trans etc?
I am sure some parts are junk but what if somebody recently put in a ZZ4 and now has taken the car to them for a new rebuild with a LS1 & all the goodies,Do they ebay all the parts, toss em or what? Wow $300K in that 66? I need to get a couple more jobs before I can take the old Chevy in, I still say when that lotto hits I'm there lol:! |
