I dont think the g bar will work with a mini tub........you will ahve to relocate the forward and rear mounting point of the lower arm......cause the tire will hit the lower bar:yes:

You can use a minitub, but to get that wide of a tire you would probably have to do something with the lower bar.

Will changing the mounting points hurt the performance? And is it alot of work?

Shouldn't effect the performance im guessing they would only have ot moved about 2"

i don't have any pics, but based on what i see and know of the kit, i believe that the two lower links would get in the way of a wide tire, since they basically mount up like half of a leaf spring (someone please corect me if im wrong)... so i assume that to fix this, you would need to move the leaf spring bracket that would normally sit at the ends of the axles in a few inches, along with the front mounts.

no correction needed. That is what i was thinking as well. The one we installed only had 8' wheels on it with a 275/35/R20 tire on it... and there mave have been 1.5 in there or so maybe 2"of room between the link bar and the tire

I'm in the process of moving the mounts inward for my Air Bar set-up in my 70 Barracuda.

Basically I'm just moving the forward mount inboard as much as possible and making a new bracket to match the factory mount holes. Its going to take alittle fabrication, but not a big deal. For the rear mount, I just need to move the perches inward on the rearend.

For my application its going to increase my tire clearence by about 1.75-2 inches.

The application you guys are discussing may be differnt, but I'm post some pix when I'm done with mine.

I have the Airbar (same thing) and am running 20 x 13 w/345 tires and have no tire fitment issue.

Its close ('bout 3/4") but it fits.

This is on a 69 Camaro.

Even with the leaf test fitting and taking measures, there was like an inch and a half in the front "tire to leaf" contact part (Rear contact part doesn't count because when you use the lower Airbar rod as there's nothing to hit the tire anymore) left before i hit the leaf, ok, now i need to cut the housing some to get the tire in ( like 1 inch to be able to drop the car, max 1 and a half) but its going to fit because the lower bar is 1/2 the size of the leaf. So i have like almost 3/4" clearance from tire to bar leaving the axle pad where it is. Worst scenario, i unweld the front attaching point of the bar to the bushing sleeve and take it in some, adjusting at the axle mount. I already asked Darren why they haven'T built it like the Quadra link, offsetted in the front so the gained space would be 'Built in'.

Right now we finished up the Monte Carlo wheel flares today and are doing Carbon Fiber hood, deck lid molds, then the hard boot molds next. The deck lids and hood will be done very soon, so we are not far away from starting the boot.
