Here are few shots I took late last night while waiting for the electrician to show up at 10pm to fix the air compressor. Man this place fills up fast.

Wow you have some high profile nice cars. That 55 is the one from down under with the P-51 mustang engine right? Those 32 roadsters have both been in the the press quite abit. Then to top it off you have the Mule and Red witch. Man I'm jealous right now. Those are some nice cars and a nice place to park them.

clill 09-26-2007 07:18 PM

The work shop is 80'x100'. It was a old building in the back of a Kaiser Hospital parking lot that we got for removing it. Painted the frame and put new tin on it. The clean shop is 50'x100' with heat-ac and air filtration so everything stays dry and clean without car covers. I'm out in the country so the dirt blows a bunch. The work shop gets alot of dirt in it. Next project is to seal it up better.

When we first got married my first hotrod was a 40 Chevy coupe. I did all the work on it in a dirt driveway with a piece of cardboard for a creeper. Yes things have gotten better.

You'll be able to see the 55 at our SEMA party.

Oh, and I think Charley has one of these signs hidden in the shop somewhere. :D

Charley, what's up with that HUGE sign thing on the back wall of the 100x80 shop? Looks like something from the circus?

Very nice Charley. Yeah, your setup now sure beats the 'ol cardboard creeper. That is so cool that you got the building for the removal. Quite the dream car garage setup. After seeing some of your older videos without the second building or fencing put up, it looks like a great "addition". :)

The stagecoach was put on the side of the Fisher Body plant in 1948. It is about 12 pieces of Porcelan. If you look at the sill plate on your Camaro it is the same stagecoach.

rubadub 09-27-2007 07:11 PM

Heres my shop with the home made paint booth, that can be taken down 4' x 8' sections, the panels are glued and screwed together, just unbolt them, and you can stack them right up, anyway.

Thanks

That is just a vynil mat I got from home depot. I have one for that other door also. It's because of the crap garage floor paint I used. The paint has come up in one spot and I was trying to protect that area so it wont get worse.

caper150 10-28-2007 08:23 PM

Yep my Dad is pretty excited about the car. We are both really happy with Kenny & Travis's work at KD Hot Rods. They were really easy to work with.

The man cave/ dog house/ tool room

Here is my little slice of sanity. Just a two car garage with direct access to one of the bedrooms that has been converted to a tool room. I also have a floor and shelving in the attic over the garage. It holds a lot of the labeled and stored ChevyII parts.
