Preferably friday! I am off on fridays......

We got the rear torn out this afternoon. It's amazing how much space a bunch of parts take up when you spread them across the floor!!!

It's not all new. Besides if your forced to tear part of the car out you might as well fix the things that are right there needing attention.

Jesse and I got the rear end and suspension out today. Hope it will all go back in as quickly as it came out.

Looking forward to having it all done and back on the road!!

skatinjay27 02-01-2008 08:57 PM

Spiffav8 02-01-2008 10:15 PM

Sorry! Thought I had better get things cleaned up and put aways seeing as I'm leaving tomorrow and will be gone for two weeks. Silly me!

Looks like it will be a 9.5 rear.

Thanks guys. It's a lot of work and I'm lucky to have had some awesome help! It might sound strange but it was an awesome feeling to get the Bucket back on the ground. Just a few more weeks and she's done! :willy:

Tom.A 03-12-2008 09:24 AM

Your car looks great. Love the wheels

NvrDun71 03-12-2008 09:48 AM

What are all the upgrades?

Nine Ball 03-12-2008 05:40 PM

Damn that RS nose looks killer! The new brakes and spindles look great too. I can't wait to see it completed. Did you already get the rear wheel offset changed?

actually tony it really seem like he might get away with just rolling the fenders, we were checking it today and with the harder spring rate he would have to get real agresive body roll to evn get the car near the fenders. plus the wheel with that offset are already rubbing the inner fenders.

awr68 03-12-2008 08:19 PM

AJ or Curtis, did you get the back to drop anymore today?

Yeah, Curtis sent me some pics last night and it does look like the fender roll might fix it all. He does want the car to still come down a lot more though...

Steve1968LS2 03-12-2008 08:31 PM

That's looking VERY good.. but wait.. I though you had an engine issue.. what's with all the other stuff? ;)

Speaking of engines.. are you rebuilding yours? I will have a nice little small-block for local sale soon. Nothing crazy, just a good street 355.

didnt you see the pics of the block??? these no rebuilding that... hes picking up the new motor tomorrow should be around 420 hp.

anthony- no man we couldnt get it down any more and it looks like nothing it binding... those springs a pretty stiff though i weight 200lb and when i push on it i dont even get .5" of travel. i told him to just chill out and wait till it get on the road and moving around then go from there.

awr68 03-12-2008 10:42 PM

I guess time will tell...but it's got a long ways to settle! I'm sure DSE 3" Drop Leafs would have done the job.
