Car is unbelievable! I love the simplicity of it. Beautiful paint and exellent choice of wheels. It has got be an awesome feeling to have taken it for a drive.

At the Dyno

My car has been at my friends shop for tuning and some chassis adjustments over the last few days.

H.P. - 451 at wheels
Tq - 432 at wheels

Right now it's a bone stock LS7 so I'm very happy with the numbers on a tune for drivability.

Rybar 12-17-2010 03:30 PM

Nice numbers, BTW the car looks sick

KPC67 12-17-2010 04:40 PM

Your car is gorgeous.
You really nailed the stance. Great job:thumbsup:

JETSET700 12-17-2010 05:32 PM

Thanks to all, the stance is nailed because of previous examples that I have seen on sites like this. I love so many of your cars too.
Next is the front & rear glass & trim mouldings and finish what is left of the interior. I'll do some pics of some other aspects I need to show over the weekend.

rwhite692 12-18-2010 10:17 AM

Car looks beautiful, Peter, Congrats on the first drive!

JETSET700 12-18-2010 10:53 AM

Thanks Jack, seeing your car at Goodguys last spring was motivation to get my ass in gear and finish my car. You and your friend were sitting by your car relaxed under umbrellas in lawn chairs. I wanted to have it at the NOV
Goodguys but could not meet that date.

CF dash

The dash was quite a long process. I made a design by modifying an existing dash with glass and filler, then Anvil Auto used it as a plug to produce a mold for production quality. It was like a trade off for me to get a dash and they can sell a few of these low demand dashes. I love the way it came out.

Last on road circa 1992

My car is registered and on the road for the road for the first time since 1992. It is a great feeling as this car has been the proverbial albatross around my neck for many years. Now the albatross Fu@%in flies. I am taking it to the goodguys Scottsdale in two weeks. There are still things to be done but mostly minor.

waynieZ 02-22-2011 09:17 PM

Congratulation's! Enjoy it you've earned it. It came out awesome. Glad you got it done before the next GoodGuys.

Rybar 02-23-2011 10:20 AM

Congrats, it's a sick Camaro. Post up some pics of the maiden voyage

JETSET700 03-15-2011 07:16 PM

I had the car at Goodguys Scottsdale Saturday and had a great time. It's all aligned now and drives very good. I did'nt do the autocross as I'm not ready for that yet! No real problems to and from, it was a good day. One funny note for those who can relate. I scheduled to have my fr/rr glass installed by a recommended guy and it was'nt to far so I planned to drive it there with no fr/rr glass. That day turned out to be the coldest AZ morning of the year!
I did it anyways and it was like I was flying a Stearman over the North Pole.
I had the heater cranked on the freeway 26F* @70MPH. My wife was following in comfort in her pre-warmed up car. I thought I would share this with you.

Now that's a cold ride!! Been there done that....kinda, on my street bike during Christmas season in the NW. Burrr!!!

Congrats on getting it back on the road!!

Thanks Curtis, as you know iy has taken long enough. Most serious issues
have now been ironed out. I have autocrossed it a few times with no issues.
On another noteI had the upper and drivers side windshield moulding depart
the car at speed a few weeks back. Car has only minor scratch so I was fortunate.

Oh man I bet your heart jumped into over drive when the molding came off! Sorry to hear about the scratches. The first one always hurts the most! I'll have to try and meet up with you one of these days when I'm down there and have a look. Enjoy!

and MEFI4 controller & harness. Ron Davis radiator, Ricks stainless tank.

I replaced the whole electrical system with painless 18 curcuit.
Vintage air AC

I used DSE control arms, coils & sway bar with ATS's AFX spindles,
670 steering gear. C5 brakes, Hydroboost.

Out back will be DSE Quadralink with a narrowed 9" and deep tubs.
ATS splined sway bar. It should be in soon.

Is that a Seattle mariners poster on your wall?

JETSET700 05-19-2013 07:37 AM

Yes, from the year they won 116 games. 2001 I believe.

I like the racepak but I did the dash carrier so the racepak would be recessed
for reduced glare a must per others who had used them before me. It sure reduces the amount of dash wiring.
