I've got an assortment of fresh magazines heading his way.. should help kill the time once he's out of the ICU.

Glad to hear the news has all been positive. I guess Kenny is one tough SOB.

Kenny's getting taken care of in the hospital, but it's also going to be hard on the family and visitors while he's there. Angie is able to stay on-site, but they do live well over an hour away from the hospital.

So after talking to Travis about it, we came up with a plan to use PayPal to help with daily expenses, gas, meals, magazines for Kenny... anything they need.

To contribute, go to PayPal and send any amount you'd like to Travis' email address:

[email protected]

He'll make sure the Davis family gets the donations.

Thanks for setting this up Kevin, Kelle, and Travis! I just sent Travis what I could! Get well soon Kenny!!

I haven't been on line since this thread started, but Whoa! This is tough to read! I met him in Columbus and saw him on the Flowmaster commercial that he filmed down there just this morning! Now tonight I read this...Crazy. He is a super nice guy and it looks like he's getting through it all pretty well but I will definitely be keeping him in my prayers as he recovers. Get well soon brother! Sounds like you'll be reading this sooner than later.

sick65 12-07-2008 08:28 PM

First of all...I would like to say thanks to all of those that have sent their thoughts and prayers to Kenny and his family. He has been a close friend of mine for many years and a just love the guy like a brother.

I had went to the hospital yesterday after I got the news, but wasn't able to see him. Went back again today and got in around mid-afternoon. No mistake, he is banged-up pretty bad.

I didn't get to stay long, as the pain meds were taking affect and he was falling asleep. We did get to speak briefly and that meant a lot to me.

As stated before, he is not out of the woods yet, but is progressing very well. Would be great if he could be at home with the family for Christmas.

For anyone coming in from out of town, let me know if I can help accommodate in any way. I'm an hour and half from Tulsa, but I will do what I can to try and help out. You can reach me at 479-586-0191 or [email protected].

Dennis.

huge thanks to everyone

Good morning,

First of all I would like to say that Angie is overwhelmed at the support she is gotten and didnt really have words when I told her about the fund that had been set up. All she could say was "trav thats great, thats really great". It has been an emotional roller coaster for all of us that are close to him. I cant give enough thanks to all of you both the guys that know him on a personal level and those of you that have never met him, its just awesome the support we are getting.

As far as the insurance he does have insurance I called the dealership where his employed full time and should have some info back her in a little while. But as of right now keep him in your prayers and thoughts. He is a tuff as they come. He was asking me yesterday when he could go back to work and how much longer he had to be there.

I will try to update everyone as much as I can.

I know this hasnt been touched on but his crawler had broken down so him and another good friend of mine jumped in another guys crawler....a very nice vey capable pro built rig. They were just going to run back to the truck they were around 100yds from the dirt road that would have taken them right back to the truck. There was a 5ft ledge that had to be crossed to get down to the road. We arent sure what happened but this is where the crawler rolled..... Kenny has always been very safety concious when they go crawling this was just one of those freak accidents. It would be like going to the race track and getting hit in the pits. Truely just a freak accident

for those that dont have paypal you can send a money order to my address

Kenny, our hearts and prayers are with you in this terrible time, sounds like you are pulling through but you have a long road in front of you. I just went through this with my brother as he was hit in the head with a gun and it almost killed him, he had emergency surgery to stop the bleeding and a few plates and screws in his head. He has made a full recovery with lots of PT so it’s good news for you with the way people saying you’re moving and talking. We wish you the very best and a speedy recovery. I know cars are your life but you got to relax and think about you and your family right now the cars will be here when you get better.

I did get to go in and see Kenny after they moved him to I.C.U.about an hour after his surgery, He sure looked like had a rock-crawler run over his head, but he is doing very well, making improvements by the hour from what Angie tells me. I will be back to visit with him Tuesday Eve,I'm sure Travis has, as well as I will tell Kenny how much support and Prayers he has from the Lateral-G family. He is too STRONG of a person to let this slow him down !!

I for one think the support the Davises are getting from us is awesome. Just shows the hot rodding community is one big family. Weather we personally know each other or just know each other as a screen name. It's truly awesome

Great job Lateral G members
I'm proud to say I'm member here.

TonyL 12-08-2008 08:36 PM

Im so glad that he seems to be doing well. That he remembers people and is able to communicate. Comas are the worst and impossibly difficult for loved ones. Thank god his family doesn't have to go through that.

We're still pulling for you Kenny. Get better soon!
