That blows you have to sell it. I was looking forward to seeing it done.

CptKlutz 08-01-2010 02:37 AM

No takers for the almost finished project. Was a steal so I'm good with that. We're finishing it up now and it will go back for sale after a shakedown week on as many CA trackdays as I can manage in 14 days. :D

CptKlutz 03-06-2011 01:31 AM

Just a few pics. Nothing really exiting but it's coming together nicely.

Hey what do you know, finally some movement on the build again. The car is now at Best of Show Coachworks for final assembly as CPR has become too busy with manufacturing turbo kits. Thanks for the recommendations for BOS, cool place and crew.

WSSix 04-09-2012 06:16 PM

So does this mean you'll get to keep it now or will you still have to sell the car? Glad to see it's getting some attention again.

MattWash08 04-10-2012 05:44 PM

glad to see things are getting done on it!

CptKlutz 04-12-2012 04:41 AM

Nope, still going up for sale when finished (and test driven!) unfortunately.

Roe 05-22-2012 07:42 PM

Colour is going to look awesome. Good Luck on the build:thumbsup:

CptKlutz 06-12-2012 01:57 AM

Ron in SoCal 06-12-2012 06:34 AM

Hey Cpt - I saw your car at the shop a couple of weeks ago. She looks mean sitting on the ground...

CptKlutz 10-20-2012 11:14 AM

Car is now ready to run and has been trailered up to Performance Associates in San Dimas. Has been fired up for the first time and is now ready for some serious tuning on the dyno! :unibrow:

WSSix 10-20-2012 01:04 PM

That's great!

I know you said it's still for sale but do you plan to come to the states and drive it before you sell it?

CptKlutz 11-21-2012 10:13 AM

Initial setup on the dyno is now done, playing it safe with 10 psi tops until it's all broken in and set up. Tune is for maximum driveability and fun, not bragging rights. Later we'll likely go to around 15 psi.

CAn you tell us the heads/headwork and cam specs on the motor ?
Compression ?

Even though it says BBK on it that looks like the TFS-R intake ?

CptKlutz 11-22-2012 12:08 PM

Absolutely:
Edelbrock Victor Jr. heads, fully ported by Total Performance in Santee. Of course port matched in and out.
Custom grind hyd. roller cam by CamMotion, duration @ 0.050” is 226° intake and 220° on exhaust with lift at 0.540” intake and 0.542” exhaust, 114° lobe separation and 110° centerline.
9.2:1 compression ratio.

The intake is really a BBK Performance 5.0L SSI-R Race Intake Manifold incl. their fuel rail kit. Nice piece although they wouldn't sponsor a dime, cheap bastards! ;) The matching BBK Power-Plus 80mm throttle body got lost somewhere along the way so we're using a LS3 unit now.

CptKlutz 12-11-2012 01:12 PM

A little delay getting it trucked back from San Dimas but now they're on it in Escondido:

Rick D 06-19-2013 04:25 AM

Very nice!! How come its going up for sale? Was it built to sell?? Either way cool build.

CptKlutz 06-20-2013 03:46 AM

Import rules have changed, making it too expensive to register here...

Another small update: Finally my countless hours creating a one off carbon fiber rear wing are showing. Thats probably a full weeks work right there.
Also note how its repositioned to where it actually has some effect:

Final push to the finish. Just a few details and cut & polish missing now.
And still for sale :poke:

That really sucks, you can't import the car EVEN after you spent so much time on it.

Visit once a year to where you now live, and see your family and friends.

Then get your butt on a plane and fly to Mexico and start north. No matter where you cross you will never be believed to being from Europe.

Start a new life here with that kick as car.

Besides sounds like the US Government will be passing out permanent passes to live here before long.

Great Build.

Ty

CptKlutz 02-10-2014 01:08 PM

First test drive. Still 10-15 small things on the to-do list, then cut & polish, pinstriping and C-stripes.
Drives like a rocket on rails though!

Don't forget to set it to 1080p HD
