Bobby lives in Dallas, next town over from me. He is quiet as a church mouse, but that dude can flat build some sweet rides.

Our 69 sits just a few inches from the ground and will roll there with no problem, you cant turn but you can go straight fast. We have lowered it more since the pic Rodger found. We have the front cross member 1/2 inch off the ground and the oil pan clears with a built LS2. We are running 19X10 275/35ZR19 front and a 19X12.5 345/30ZR19 and fits perfect. We have done the 20 on the rear and it just does not look right.

Cant wait to see what Rodger is going to do. Start a post on this and get some pics up.

REAL BOB JOHNSON 02-09-2009 07:53 PM

Im building another 69 with 2008 ZO-6 complete suspension motor rear mounted trans and rear I took a original GRANNY Car with perfect rust free floors and cut it up. My last car had C-4 STUFF WITH a complete 2x3 frame and my new car has a round tube crome moly frame I think I'll use coil overs instead of air bags My last car had bags and you set it as low as it would go it made it hard to drive safetly it changes the sus, geomerty to much it's hard toget two different ride heights and drive good I like something i can drive and enjoy. I'll soon have pics as soon as i'm smart enough to put them no the putter Thank's REAL BOB

ironworks 02-09-2009 07:55 PM

Oh I'm working on it. I think it will be a shop car unless one of 2 guys that have been kicking it around come through. I should be placing my order for replacement panel real soon. I think we are going to start with panel instead of a car. It will be easier to do all the mods we want to do.

Stay tuned

Rodger

No kidding. I stop by Cook's every couple months to check in. Steve and Bruce got ripped when Terzich beat out Bruce's 55 for Street Machine of the year several years back. Bruce's Ford looks wicked.

I have never been fond of the yellow 69. It just looks off. What is wild about is twin Paxton Chargers on it.

customcam 02-09-2009 08:56 PM

Real do you still have the black 69? This is the one that BJ was saying it was going to rival his cuda?

ironworks 02-09-2009 09:01 PM

Is this the one I have heard Alan is building?

Datsbad 02-10-2009 07:55 AM

I think Doug Cooper is the one having Alan build the camaro to rival the Cuda.

REAL BOB JOHNSON 02-10-2009 07:00 PM

I sold my turbo car after I called Daddy Bob out and he was so scared he sold hls cuda as fast as he could. No Alan is'nt building my new car I do my own work I own a production body shop by day and work on race cars and hotrods all night Thanks Bob

The gentleman who initially got me thinking about this project ended up send me his camaro by yellow freight about a week ago. We got the car set up on the table to start some body mods. This mod should be interesting.

+1 for Big Red. These days everyone's trying to outdo one another and build the baddest Camaro ever. While it's great for the hobby, it makes it hard to narrow it down...so why not go with the big daddy of them all?

phillym5 03-21-2009 08:22 AM

Pretty radical color scheme..........
Owner is Rob Dyrdek.

Steve1968LS2 03-21-2009 08:52 AM

When I read the thread title the first car the jumped into my mind was Big Red...
