Wow, very nice. I'm sure you'll have some tricks for the front end too. Custom grill and lower valence?

WOW!!! That's looking really good!!
Keep us posted. |
Here's a few more up to date shots. The customer wanted the bumper less treatment like the new Challengers so we continued with the front of the car to carry the same theme. About 85% of it is scratch built. We also took the lower plastic from a 2010 Challenger and are grafting it in. It works out killer and gives the car a pretty mean feel and look. Enjoy!!!

We could always do some trade work. I need some tubing work on our truck project. And apparently you need a spiral stair case for your rollcage. The Cuda looks good. Rodger |

Yeah thats the problem. The dead presidents keep on going in one pocket and out the other. Between my shop and house there seems to be a steady flow of this monthly issue. Not sure if a stair case would look good in the front seat of a Cuda. I could use one for my wine cellar. Plumbing on the 50's Chevy ? |

Your car is really shaping up and the wheels are sweeeet!:lateral:

Nice work Mark! I need to run by the shop and come see it. How's orange Camaro and Danny's bike coming along?

Just a few simple updates. The windshield and A pillars are pretty much finished up except for some welding. We took some late model window rubber that fit and looked the best. Replaced the entire frame and shorted and narrowed the hole window opening to accept the new rubber. The front A pillar was also widened to help the look and eliminate the drip rail in the process. The lower part of the cowl was also fabricated and new wiper mounts were made. Just ordered up a DSE universal wiper motor and will mount it on the inside once the cage is made.
Not sure if I posted pics of the front after it was finished but you can see the 2010 SRT-8 chin spoiler mounted Mark |

Very nice Mark. Looking really good.

Wow, very nice fabrication on the windshield and lower valance (and whole car)! I doubt when someone sees the finished product they ever realize how much talent and time it takes to do flush glass and the new wipers, etc.----a sure sign of top notch fabrication. I can only imagine how much true skilled metal work is required for all those compound curves.
Thanks for posting an update. Wes |
Mark... Are those the XV hood hinges? I'm curious as to what you think of them ( you can pm me if you want). I've been bugging the Ring bros for 3 years to make them and Fesler still hasn't made theirs either.... I'm interested in how the XV ones compare to the other companies hinge quality
I'm still interested in this frame pass through too :) |

some more progress :D
We started on the cage. At first the customer said yes to a cage and then changed his mind. I opened my big mouth and said why don't we try and hide it as best as possible. So far we got the front main cage done and still need to tie some interior sheet metal on the head liner to help make it disappear. After that we started to address some under dash goods. Got the Vintage Air mounted and water lines run to the engine compartment. Mounted the heater control valve in the fender well for easy maintenance and in case it ever leaks it wont hit the carpet. Waiting on some A/C parts to get those lines ran too. Mounted the FAST and made it so all you have to do is pock your head under the dash and make shear all power is on and D.S.E. universal wiper motor and got it working as well. Here's a few pics. |
I'm impressed...... I never knew you knew how to route flexible tubing:

Mark, looks sweet. I like how you recessed the booster and integrated the pedal hanger, and the cage, nice and tight up into the pillars, real, real nice!
Rob |
Car looks awesome - so will he need the aermotive pump controller. I have one that I am not using and would love to get rid of it.
