I've had my kids in the garage since they were old enought to walk. I've also taught them how to frame, electrical, plumbing and hang drywall. My oldest is even a pretty good house painter. My youngest seems to like to get more paint on her then the trim or the walls.

thanks Greg I wish we could have made the power tour but it was all worth it to see the intrest and desire to make something really cool with one of my boys. now the oldest boy wants to build one with a motor. then my other boy wants to build one with a side car.I told them to save some money and we will see what happens.pretty amazing the information that a 10 year old can absorb.I thike i have enough space cleaned out in the shop to get back on the belair.

E.rodz 07-12-2010 07:50 AM

back to the belair again!

just finaly got a chance to pick up where I left off about a year ago and decided to put the supercharger back togather with the updated compressor wheel by 928 motorsports. there claim is 20% more boost pressure.I blew the internal belt up at last years carcraft burnout show.just been driving the car with out the charger. shop is finaly starting to look like I had some sort of plan behind it. not finished yet but functional.going to be ripping my house apart now and still attempting to get some work done on the belair too.
http://i643.photobucket.com/albums/u...0picts/011.jpg
http://i643.photobucket.com/albums/u...0picts/009.jpg
you can see quite a difference in the compressor wheels hope it works!
http://i643.photobucket.com/albums/u...0picts/016.jpg
decided the the factory design stinks and drilled some cooling vents in the case to let some heat out.
http://i643.photobucket.com/albums/u...0picts/019.jpg
everything back together and crossing my fingers that I can get it to 8# of boost.

Young'Un 08-10-2011 11:36 AM

Where did you find that intake with the velocity stacks like that. Genius idea man, having the plate cover the throttle body in the front like that and the fuel rail running in between the stacks. Or did you make it? It looks cool as hell man. I have a few extra ls intakes and if you made it could you give me some pointers?

the intake is a one off prototype designed by beer. a friend brought over his cbr1000 and it had some cool stacks on it and with just the right amount of beer the design started to take shape it is not quite done yet but it will have to do for now.;)

Please remember that My shop consists of Me my youngest son who is 11 and a apprentice that has worked with me part time for a couple of years.part time and I also work a full time job during the day. so what I am getting at is this is going to take some time just have some patients with me and don't be afraid to let me know what you think.

thanks for the intrest. the hitch is completely hidden from view when not in use the reciever just pins in the trunk and the plate just hindges down and is held up with magnets when not in use.

E.rodz 11-18-2011 07:46 AM

started making some changes to the interior so the kids can be a little more comfortable on road trips. the seats are out of a 2005 gto.lots od mods.to get them to fit but they are sooo comfortable maybe I will have the kids drive and I will sit in the back.the fronts will also be changed out but I need to figure out the seat belts first.
http://i643.photobucket.com/albums/u...ise2011088.jpg
goint to try to keep this thing drivable as long as possible while making all the mods.

her are a couple of picts. of the power cruise in Brainerd.Mn. this was a intresting event. the first night we were there we had 5.5" of rain it was 98*f on the drive up there pulling the camper.with fuel pump problems all the way there.the next morn. it was 55 and overcast. that day was a blast the open cruise event turned out to be a full all out road race . with the biggest variety of cars ever.vw's,street rods, drifters, road race cars.ended up running hard all day prob. 50 laps with 4 people in the car guessing 140mph on the straight aways. left the huge trailer mirrors on it on the track. very funny to see peoples reaction as we came up behind them then passed them with a huge boat with 4 people in the car.:wow: It was a gas to say the least. at least till sun. when we broke it.:(

looks like it is almost time to get back on the Belair again.the shop is almost done enough to get to work on the car.I am just giddy about all the changes on the shop and the house. It took waayyyy longer than I wanted it to but the end results look like they might just be worth it in the long run.Just wait till you see what is in my head. changes to the belair that is.
changed the rear end out to a 9"fab 9 moser rearend. and also changed up the exhaust to get rid of the dronemasters.

It's official going twins!!!!

Ok maybe this is a sign I should quit drinking. decided to remove the supercharger and going to try the twin turbo thing.this is one big can of worms but I can see some awesome potential to this set up looking at getting 20+ miles to the gallon and 650+ to the rear wheels.and get in and drive across the country with my family in style.:D :D
now to get some parts ordered up and start this crazy train.
let me know your thoughts and comments of this plan.and follow my failure or triumph. could go either way.

E.rodz 01-05-2012 07:49 AM

going twin turbo's whoo hooo!

well it looks like we are going the wrong direction now disasembling insted of assembling. but I think this will be a move that I should not regret later.I hope but I have got alot of parts on order and hope to make some forward progress this week.
