Cross Memeber

Is that cross member a custom piece or did you get that from somewhere? I need to build on / get one like that. Could you PM me or post any additional pics you have? I would appreciate it. Thanks!

Jeff tried to shoot you a email but it keeps kicking it back. The cross member came along with the subframe from Art Morrison. This is the only other picture I have of it until it gets back from the interior shop.
Nice car you have there!

Richio1 03-22-2011 08:45 PM

Thanks... it was... now going a totally new direction with it. Should be in paint next month so I will get everything together for a project thread soon.

I appreciate you getting back to me on my question. I will check out their website and see what I can find.

Looking forward to seeing more of your once you get it back.

Went with a all leather headliner and a Clayton Machine Works dome lamp and window cranks. The carpet is Mercedes black just like what Fesler uses.
The interior guy made false floors that are nice and flat.

waynieZ 04-09-2011 04:06 PM

The head liner looks great.

Headers

What size and company headers are you running?

69x22 06-07-2011 04:31 PM

They are 1 3/4" stainless works headers. No complaints with them so far.

Finally out of the interior shop

Ralphlovs72chev 07-03-2011 06:21 PM

Wow. You have a really beautifull 69. I use to have a black with white stripes 69. I missed that car so much no other car would do. I recently purchased a 69 and seeing yours makes me want to paint it the same again lol.....Great job......

Andrew 07-03-2011 07:42 PM

Incredible build. I can't wait to see a video.

I got mine from Al knoch, but I believe most interior supply companies carry it at a little better price.

First Cruise in

Took the car out for it's first cruise in. AC blowing 38 degrees, engine ran cool in traffic and everybody seemed to like it.

waynieZ 07-09-2011 10:58 AM

The car looks great! Those wheels are perfect for this color car, of course they are my favorite wheels. Did you have her dress up in black and white to match the car???lol It looks excelent.

70rs 07-09-2011 11:05 AM

Congrats! Nice, very nice! That first drive had to make it all worth it huh?
The stance, interior and overall look of your car is outstanding.
Wayne is right, you nailed it on the wheel choice too.

Thanks! I think it's just a coincidence, if I could just get her to not lean on it...

Your car looks awesome! Autoxing is an acquired skill. I'm still trying to figure out how long it's gonna take to acquire it.

6D9 Matt 10-06-2011 02:24 PM

Very nice! Love the stance... what kind of spring/suspension setup are you running in the front/rear?

:hail:

69x22 10-06-2011 03:43 PM

It's a Art Morrison subframe with a G-bar rear. I like the front but wished I would have went with a DSE rear suspension, or just DSE front and rear.

Thanks man! The new tune made 602 at the rear wheels, it's about a 100HP or better off. I think the inlet to the Pro Charger is the restriction. I have a few things in mind, but I've been busy working out the other little bugs, it is wicked fast with the 600HP and got 20mpg on my 700 mile round trip.

Defiantly want to install some clear bra on it!!

dwilson 10-07-2011 07:58 PM

i saw your car when you got back from the autocross...looked bad ass and smelled pretty hot! lol.....looks killer! hopefully one day i can represent on the level you have!

Why do you say that (about the rear)? What do you not like about the G-bar rear? Asking bc I plan on going with a built rear and 4-link after Xmas.

dead sailor 10-09-2011 04:18 PM

Car looks absolutely amazing! Where did you get that billet bracket to bolt the master up to the firewall?

A few of members with some decent horsepower and allot of racing are getting some cracks in the rear frame rails from the upper control arms pulling on the cradle. See Vegas 69 thread. When I got back from this trip I found them on mine. If you do run this set up you need to either replace the frame rails or seriously beef them up. Or just go with DSE.

Thanks. I will have to work on the open track video. I do plan on running it down the quarter mile soon with some good tires on the back.
