Front brakes

1 Attachment(s)
Here is a pic of the front brakes we are using.. The hat offset is to shallow so we are to have to machine a set of hats that have a deeper offset to clear the wheels.. Rotor diameter is 14.25 on all four corners..
Caliper are W6A silver powder coated with custom Wilwood logo that I have to paint in black for the outline..

This car looks great!

Is the frame painted yet? In the picture with the new wilwoods, the frame looks like it is raw...

Cris@JCG 10-23-2009 08:16 AM

The chassis is not painted yet.. Car is going in for final body work on Monday, then it comes back to me to blow car apart for underside bodywork & paint.. @ that point I start sending all suspension components to powder coat..

Steve1968LS2 11-23-2009 09:06 PM

what the heck? Is that THE '69???

What happened?

Anyways.. if they don't work out, I know a place.. ;)

Cris@JCG 11-23-2009 09:35 PM

Yes! It is the 69 that was in the F body garage ..

The customer wanted for the car to get painted by Palmer Customs in Camarillo.. They do awesome work.. & this is how I delivered the car.. They are behind schedule cause have a few cars going to the Grand National Roadster Show in January..

It is great that you back up paint shop for

Nothing like a Palmer paint job. :beavis: Can't go wrong there.

Hood latch

The car might be @ body & paint but we are still making one off custom parts!
Here is what the hood latch will be looking like.. We need to add pockets to the base to remove some weight & give it a little more style.. The pin & spring retainer will be made of 17-4 stainless :unibrow:

More Billet Custom pcs

Here is a shifter lever that we made for this build! We made it with interchangable knobs to see which one the customer will like.. & the reason it is L shaped is that it moves the position further back so the driver can rest his arm on the console & is within reach!

Collet for shift light on steering column

http://i1015.photobucket.com/albums/...nmountassy.jpg

We are also making our own hood hinges.. design is still in the works!

KPC67 12-05-2009 07:14 PM

Cool hinges, I think everyone needs their own CNC machine!

This just makes me pissed. I was told that Wilwood does a 14in rear with that caliper. Figures.
Nice work BTW!

Engine wiring

We are still in body work mode for this 69! I hope to have the car painted by late Jan or early Feb.. In the mean time we have been wiring the motor up & getting the belt drive done.. We will also be detailing the the motor in the a week or so & setting the motor on a test stand to fire it up to ensure we have no leaks..
