Looks awesome Bryce.
You make it look easy.

Bryce 12-13-2010 07:45 AM

So today was really productive.

Went to a christmas car show with my dad, we took his ranchero.

I set the pinion angle.

Finalized the geoemtry.

Finsihed the design of the upper link chassis mount. Now I need to cut it out of steel and weld it on.

And I even got some yard work done.

So the project is nearing the end. WOOHOO.

mexMan 12-21-2010 02:30 PM

End? Remember, there's no end. Awesome build.

Bryce 12-24-2010 02:54 PM

Thanks, you are right. They are NEVER done.

So I got a really good deal on double adjustable coilovers from TCI and springs from afco.

Next week should be a good week. The entire week off from work.

Merry Christmas everyone. I hope everyone has a wonderful time with their family.

Bryce 12-30-2010 07:26 PM

Spent some time making brackets today. These are the chassis side of the upper link. They have an arced slot and will be welded to the frame cradle. Not too bad for a bandswaw, drill press and an array of tools for the die grinder.

Also here is the christmas present I bought myself.

Here are the TCI double adjustable shocks with the afco springs.

The look nice in the box, hopefully they will look nice on the car.

Monotube, double adjustable shocks.

waynieZ 12-30-2010 08:37 PM

I'm sure they will.

tones2SS 12-31-2010 09:56 AM

Love the build!!!!!

Would love to throw some ideas around with you for a project I will be working on....

I am on the side of the fence that says you need a filler above the front valance, I just can't visualize a great solution yet, I will keep thinking!

Tyler,

Thanks for the compliments.

I will answer your questions here. I dont want to hyjack your thread.

Yes, its a mustang front valance that I widened 3/4". I plan on completely redesigning the front valance. I was going to put a intercooler there but now I dont think I will procharge the car.

I really like the black rims too. But I like the new centerlines better. The wheels completly change the look of the car. It will eventually be grabber blue.

My watts link with bellcrank only weighs 8.4 pounds.

I am always willing to talk cars!

Its been slow progress, I have been painting all the pieces so that has taken time. The main reason I have been slow is that my wife and I found out that she is about 2 months pregnant. I am super excited!!

I think the car will be back on the ground in a few weeks. I need to have the car driving this summer!

tones2SS 02-17-2011 06:59 PM

Nice goodies Bryce. Car should handle like nobody's business.

Bryce 02-23-2011 07:01 PM

Bryce 03-18-2011 09:53 PM

The car is on the ground with the suspension under it. The coilovers are actually holding up my car. Im super stoked right now. It was a long evening but I made great progress. Obviously not complete, but here are the pictures.

There is more work to do, dial in ride height, link lengths, watts geometry, UCA angle. I still need to modify my fuel system it used to be where the watts cradle currently mounts.

waynieZ 03-19-2011 12:16 AM

It looks great in there. Nice set up.

64pontiac 03-19-2011 08:11 PM
