I gues a better question would be what do you recommend for cleaning and treating leather?

RECOVERY ROOM 04-14-2010 08:14 PM

Let me see what I can do for a good answer that is available to the general public,We have some products that our suppliers give us,I don't think they sell retail but I will check.I don't want to give advice then find out you can't get it easy.

That depends on who you ask..lol Thank you very much for that.I try to put interiors in cars to match the car it is going in.Street Rods get different guts than the cars you guys are building(muscle cars) and so on.If everything was the same it would get boring quick.Watch for some post on Mark Lengal's Camaro coming up soon PROJECT ENVY It's going to be a nice one also. Thanks again for the complement

I checked on the Lexol product and bought some to try,It seems to work fine and doesn't leave it greasy,After an Interior is done with good leather you should not have to worry about treating it for sometime.

Thanks for checking it out . I 've been using it for a few years now and wanted to make sure I was treating it as well as I could. I can't believe you went out and bought some. THANKS:cheers:

RECOVERY ROOM 04-22-2010 07:43 PM

I can't comment on something I'm not sure about, Just thought I would check it out. I learn from you guys also. I wouldn't use it on a fresh interior right away tho.

Beautiful work. I've always admired your designs and looked at it as inspiration to my own personal ideas. Knowing now that you do small jobs for the Average Jack out there...

I have a vision. I'd like to kick it around with you when you have time and see what you think.

bigtyme1 04-23-2010 06:22 AM

The best thing about Tracey is he can almost read my mind when were talking about my car. It not all what he wants but what fits the car, and every car is different to a personal touch.

Beautiful! j/k

no...wait...they really are beautiful.

RECOVERY ROOM 05-02-2010 05:18 PM

They are a universal frame and foam setup that we buy and cut and shape to what we want, There is no name or style. I use them all the time. They are great to use because they come uncovered and we have to glue them up. When they are mounted in a Camaro they look close to the same height as the originals but they recline. You can add as much support as you want. They were mounted in Kenny Davis build

Completely off topic, do you know the diameter of the rims of the 'vettes that you have on your website?

Thanks!

RECOVERY ROOM 05-16-2010 07:38 AM

Thanks. Several folks I know say 17 or 18" is the max dia rim on an early 'vette and have it look OK. I disagree (as long as they don't look like wagon wheels) and a prime example are the ones on your site, which look bad a**!

Thanks again!

You do custom interiors I take it? I will bookmark youin my favorites!

Just a random question, lets say I had a rolling shell and kind of drew up what I wanted interior wise, but did not have any pre-exisiting dash/console/panels for you to start with, that can be done no?

RECOVERY ROOM 05-16-2010 07:03 PM

Yes, That is what we do. WE can build everything on the inside of a car, Take a look at the first page on thread and it shows a gray interior in a 2nd gen, We made everything:thumbsup:

So you hand make everything? I heard you live on a farm with an airstrip; do you kill the cows and tan the hides too? When are you going to make a video of this stuff next to your Lear jet? :P
