You guys got nothing on one of our own --- Eric --- AKA E.rodz...
Check out this video of one wall in his shop! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EO5on...uzswVrg-Mp8w0A |
That is really cool! Great imagination! Being a father/son project is what does it for me more than anything!

Hi Guys,
I've been on here for a while don't post on the forum as much as I should. There are some nice workshops on here. Really love all that neat air brush work on the you tube video. Link to my shop photos below. Cheers :popcorn2: John http://s1110.photobucket.com/user/el...des%20workshop |

A truck arrived and dropped these off yesterday.....
EEEEEEHHHHHHHHHHAAAAAAAAAA They'll be nice replacements for the older/smaller versions (different brand) that I have. http://i919.photobucket.com/albums/a...ix/file-18.jpg http://i919.photobucket.com/albums/a...ix/file-15.jpg http://i919.photobucket.com/albums/a...ix/file-14.jpg |
Snap-On called --- they wondered why they're sales had slowed a bit..... Maybe it's because these are all full?????

Nice additions! That build a blade feature would be handy! Did you know St. Sieggy's donation center offer's home pick up service? |

I saw that.... not sure why I posted it. I hate blurry cell phone pics... they hurt the head! I think Pierre beat you to the pick up... that's IF he still wants the stuff. If not Chris Holstrom is next in line. |
Damn that cold saw is sexy..... Until I get one I'm just :superhack:

Best piece of gear in my shed! No messy crap flying all over the shop when making a cut... super quiet... super accurate! I still own a 14" Raptor type saw -- and a abrasive disc saw. They all have their place. I rarely (once a year?) use the Raptor/abrasive saws. I use the cold cut almost daily. You do have to have different blades for different materials! Aluminum - Stainless - Mild steel.... but it only takes a minute or two to change them out. My Hyd-Mech cold cut saw is only a 9" --- and only miters one direction. This saw is 12.5" and miters both directions. Now that I have it -- I'll NEVER use the Raptor type saw as it was only used for the occasional larger diameter stuff. The new saw is capable of handling everything I'm going to cut. |

Brian --- I wouldn't buy these kinds of tools if you're only going to ever build one or two cars over a 15 or 20 year period. I've been doing this stuff for some 40 years now... and have built or heavily modified at least a dozen or more cars. You can buy some awfully nice parts with what these tools run. I'm lucky that I have the space and time... and I value this kind of stuff even if it's not really practical to own. I know guys that have built nicer cars and don't own much more than a hacksaw... For the amount of use most people would get out of a saw -- I'd buy a decent band saw --- even a portable one.... but mostly a decent mitering horizontal one. This one or it's big brother might be worth the extra money and still less than the cold saw GW just bought: http://www.grizzly.com/products/6-x-...-Bandsaw/G0614 |

Here is my shop. Only 18 months old, so there is more to do to get it stocked up with tools, machines, etc. 30' deep x 56' wide, with a man cave above.

Very well done, looks like the perfect size too..

Me likey very nice Jeff!!! :G-Dub: I like that its not a poll barn, not there's anything wrong with a poll barn as my next shop will most likely be a poll barn!!
This just looks more like a nice garage for parking then working! |

I always liked a POLE barn rather than having one like a voting booth where they take polls... HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA |
That looks awesome ! How do they ever coax you out of it ?

PLEASE put struts on your garage doors! Sorry, I'm in the garage door business and noticed your using electric operators, but you need to strut the top section! If not you will cause damage to the top section! Travis |

Thanks for all of the compliments.
The Grand National is all original with only 18K miles, so that bay is mainly for "parking". The silver GS is getting ready to go to the Fall Fort Worth GoodGuys autocross, so there has been some "work" going on in that bay. I am building a 65 Skylark track day/autocross car from the ground up, so that bay will have the most work in the next couple of years. The building is stick framed from 2x6s, air conditioned, insulated with cellulose/spray foam, and matches the style of the house. My business is pre-engineered metal buildings, but that style of building would not work in my sub-division. No pole barns or poll barns here! I designed it on our CAD program, laying out the equipment, plugs, air drops, etc. I started designing at three bays, and my wife said I should go to four. Some times you just don't argue. |
I'm coming to live in your garage :confused59: :faint:

Very Very Nice Jeff... mine is about the same size as yours but I went for the high ceilings. I've got an office and bathroom on the left side and a 300+ sq/ft loft upstairs for parts. If I did it again I would probably just raise the eaves and do a complete second floor. What are your shop walls covered with? It does look very classy... I like it!
