Sorry guys for the delay but we have been absolutely swamped lately with a shop renovation, launch of our new website Goolsbycustoms.com, work on Pegasus, trying to hire new people and several other builds that are coming along as well that we will begin releasing some info and pictures on shortly....but as far as this car goes here are some slightly newer photos of what we have been up too. Enjoy

NEVER thought I would like one of that model Mustangs, but Ben knocked it out of the park with that rendering.

The work that the guys are doing on the car looks top notch too!:beavis:

It's looking great. The rear end is going to have a Pantera feel to it when this is all said and done.

Thanks we are pretty happy with the way it's coming out...That's funny we actually have a pantera here at the shop and we have been saying the same thing.

srh3trinity 05-01-2011 11:02 AM

I still need to find time and come by the shop. I am building a second gen Firebird and I wouldn't mind seeing the Camaro with the RS chassis again. I saw it at the World of Wheels. I hope you, your family and your employees came through the storms ok.

GoolsbyCustoms 05-01-2011 11:10 AM

Well we had one employee that has lost everything , his house was in pleasant grove but miraculously all other immediate friends and family were spared , thanks for asking and by all means stop by the shop when you get a free moment

56pickup 05-01-2011 07:38 PM

Just came on the site and all i can say is killer project! love that coyote motor! putting one in my project too but itll be a little different than normal

thanks, the pass. side is the ac ports and the driver side is the trans. cooler lines

67greengt 05-07-2011 10:01 AM

Nice! So I would imagine you cut the outer part of the frame rail off to run the hose? I've ordered my front clip only roadster shop IFS front end and I'm looking at different ways to finish things - I like that nice and clean.

There are actually access panels on both sides that bolt in to access the bulkhead fittings and run the lines if you look closely at the last picture you should be able to make them out

You will be very happy with that front clip also not to mention that added room you need

garickman 05-08-2011 06:42 PM

Amazing work, will you have pics of your builds on your website?

srh3trinity 05-08-2011 08:36 PM

I have always heard that you were a paint guru, but your shop is churning out some amazing work. I may have to go stand at the shore so I can see when my ship is going to come in so I can send you my Firebird.

coolwelder62 05-09-2011 06:10 AM

You guy's are doing some amazing work.Awesome. Scott M.

You dont have to wait for that ship, I am sure we could work something out, its probably not as bad as you might think and thanks for the compliments but Jonathan is the paint guru I couldnt spray a panel if it was paint by numbers and yes over the past few years we have a little bit of a focus shift and are trying to improve with every build , just as many of the other great builders on here are doing as well

Thanks, Scott for the kind words it really gets the guys motivated ,especially after one of those challenging weeks that we all have nearing the end of the build

srh3trinity 05-26-2011 09:05 PM

I stopped by the Goolsby shop today. It was kind of after hours and everybody had their hands dirty on Pegasus so I just looked around and didn't get in their way. I think the next update is going to be a big one, and I won't ruin it for anybody. It is an amazing build. A lot of subtle details and major changes too. I will also say that the shop was very clean and organized with a lot of nice looking iron in different stages of completion.

GoolsbyCustoms 07-06-2011 09:50 PM

Well i know we have been slacking on the pictures lately but the owner didnt really want anyone seeing anything finished until its debut in Columbus .......well its close enough for a small teaser......See everyone there http://i767.photobucket.com/albums/x...m37/peggie.jpg

70rs 07-06-2011 10:24 PM

Simply amazing build. Is there ANY part on the entire car that was not hand built or modified somehow?

BBC71Nova 07-07-2011 06:19 AM

Kicking myself for not coming by there over the last few weeks...

Looks awesome. Can't wait to see more.

tones2SS 07-07-2011 05:00 PM

Very nice. That rear diffuser works well with that exhaust.

MSTSFabbed 07-08-2011 10:50 AM

Did I see right, that your brake booster is turned 90 degrees under the dash?? So i'm guessing its rocker actuated or something? That is really cool, I'd love to see more pictures of it if you have them! This car is amazing! Great work!

WSSix 07-09-2011 04:45 PM

Can we get more pictures now that it's had its public debut? I think this is quite possibly the nicest 71 I have ever seen.

GoolsbyCustoms 07-09-2011 05:37 PM

Trey, yes as soon as I get back to the shop I will be posting up all the build shots and finished pics that I have, thanks again for everyones interest we are real happy with the way this one came out

:woot:

I have some questions for you about the coyote motor!

Ill talk to you when you get back

GoolsbyCustoms 07-11-2011 03:34 PM

Would again like to thank all of the people and vendors and our guys in the shop and most importantly our customer Mr. Shores for making this one come together were sorry we couldnt get him the top five he wanted but we were able to get a builders choice this past weekend. We would also like to thank GoodGuys for putting on such a great and organized show with such great people. We had such a great time talking to everyone this weekend and think the car was accepted well.

Congrats go out to the top five winners RPM,Ringbrothers,RoadsterShop, and Anvil all of you and your guys are so great it makes it that much more fun competing against each other ,especially being a bunch of NoNames from Alabama. I have never seen that many top quality cars competing at once and it should be a testimate to this hobby we all love so much.

Well enough of the mushy stuff lets get on with some pics over the next few days i will be uploading more of what I have and maybe more as we are thrashing on this thing at other events, Again thanks to everyone you know who you are
