Nice shop.

Got a Spintech ringtone yet? :D

GregWeld 10-05-2010 07:38 AM

Wow!

Did you drink the Jack before curling the lip of that bellhousing back?

DUDE! How fast were you going over the speed bump in the 20 MPH school zone to do that? (they are supposed to be ANTI speed by the way -- the name speed bump does not mean to increase your speed)

Did you do a before and after video?

torino420 10-05-2010 08:02 AM

LOL, yea that thing is low but sure looks and sounds sick!

6D9 10-05-2010 08:07 AM

tones2SS 10-05-2010 09:18 AM

Sounds/looked like a good time. I'm dying to see Nick finish his Chevelle. No doubt will be bad ass. I bet your car sounds nice and mean now with those Spin Tech's!:unibrow:
How did you ruin your bell housing lip like that?:_paranoid

Vegas69 10-05-2010 09:23 AM

:unibrow: Some bolts in the bellhousing would've helped.

It is a killer shop - very clean too - and great location with perfect "testing" roads all around.

Spintech ringtone is a good idea Skip. I'm on it.

I can neither confirm nor deny the JD/bellhousing connection. :D

I think I can pinpoint the big blow to an overpass near Livermore last Sunday after the car show there. It didn't feel good. LOL

I meant to do a before video, but it didn't get done. My bad, but we all know how Flowmasters sound anyway right?

Ha, great pic.

Actually, the sideways action is due more to the old tires I think. Once I get the R comps it should stick and hook pretty good with this peaky motor I think. :)

Track Junky 10-06-2010 08:52 PM

Let me know if your willing to sell a couple of those tires. I promised the PT forum a killer burn out video but I dont want to do it with my R888's.

Vegas69 10-06-2010 09:02 PM

:theresa: You don't need to respond to everybody's posts........ With popularity comes ignorance. Ask your bed buddy Doug.

Hmm that might work out well. I do need to get some newer tires soon if I want to start testing the limits of this car, even on the street. A burnout meetup may be in order!

Todd, you little focker. I think Doug has been scared off by the masses already and your mean thread.

Track Junky 10-06-2010 09:40 PM

Hmm...What size tires you running? I have two brand new Toyo R888's sitting in my garage.

Flash68 10-06-2010 09:46 PM

315/35/17

Was going to buy a set of Nitto NT01s to replace them. I ran them before on my 996 Turbo and liked them a lot for the price.

Track Junky 10-06-2010 09:52 PM

315's? those are for the big dogs, I haven't graduated to those yet, LOL. you got any 275/40 17's laying around? need them on the cheap though, I plan on setting them on fire, LOL.

Flash68 10-06-2010 10:02 PM

Luckily this car was minitubbed before I got it. I dont have any 275s but I would like to see your burnouts when you find them!

I may just burn the shiat of these tires soon in a final smoke show session. You just gave me a great idea. Thanks :D

Track Junky 10-06-2010 10:10 PM

Your not to far away from me, hopefully you can wait till I find some tires and we can get us both on video at the same time pulling some John Force burn outs. I know my buddy in Martinez would go for it to. Hell, we might have to have a Nor-Cal burnout party :_party:

Flash68 10-06-2010 10:34 PM

I like the sound of this.. let's rock it.

And then you can show me the line around Infineon or Thunderhill one of these days. I need to try that.

Sounds good, I recommend signing up with NASA HPDE(High Performance Driving Experience). They have 4 different levels(HPDE 1-4). The first level they hook you up with an instructor that will drive with you and show you the line on the track. The second level your on yor own practicing the line on the track with no passing. Level 3 is limited passing and 4 is like open track.

That is how I got started back in 2002-03. Great people and really good tome. Let me know when you want to go, I'll meet you up there.
