It looks sweet. Is it as orange as it looks in the pictures or is it more copper colored? I like the color it shows on my monitor. lol

BBC71Nova 04-11-2011 07:27 PM

Looks awesome.

Crazy that it was almost 90 degrees F here this past weekend and you guys got all that snow on the ground.

64pontiac 04-11-2011 08:55 PM

Most of our snow is gone now, majority left over the last week. It IS very orange, but really dependant on how the light hits it. There is still alot of copper in it.

I am going to go see what it looks like this week with the black canvas top installed....... it is going to be sweet

Rybar 04-11-2011 08:59 PM

Tyler, again. That thing looks badass. The stance and wheel/tire combo is dead on

Blake Foster 04-12-2011 08:10 AM

Speedtech suspension

tones2SS 04-12-2011 05:12 PM

Car looks amazing Tyler.

waynieZ 05-14-2011 09:12 PM

Any updates Tyler?

64pontiac 05-16-2011 08:17 PM

So we have been slow to post anything lately as we had our son last week and are currently moving into/renovating our "new to us" house this week (perfect timing)

AND Unfortunately we still have no RSV back from the upholsterer, who is not uphol-ding his end of the deal :willy: things take time and I am not stranger to deadlines come-and-gone?

But when I get a chance I have a whole whack of stuff to post!!!!

waynieZ 05-16-2011 09:05 PM

New baby , new house I guess thats a good excuse. lol I'll be checking back. I don't want to miss anything.

ErikLS2 05-16-2011 09:05 PM

That car is beautiful, you guys are doing some impressive work up there.

BUT, I am hoping my Sharks will send your Canucks packing for the summer.:P

64pontiac 05-17-2011 07:36 AM

You have time for cars AND hockey????? Geez! And if you're all for the sharks, Im guessing you dont even know what snow is!!!! We had 4 inches of it dumped on us two weeks ago by suprise, even though we are seeing temps in the mid teens (Celcius, so thats pretty nice out!)

garickman 05-17-2011 05:18 PM

Lookin' good Tyler. I sent you an email and a PM. Let me if you got the them.

tmadden 05-17-2011 08:18 PM

Pioneer Stage 3 LSA 69 Camaro

3 Attachment(s)
Looks like there are a few projects out there like this. This vehicle was built for Pioneer electroinics for the 2011 CES show. This and two other 69 camaros were built and this vehicle became the over the top vehicle of my dreams. The LSA tops the list with a 4L80 from Monster trans, Heidts front and rear subframe and IRS, Summit and Classic industries also provided parts. A special thanks to Jay Harris at ISIS power for there support and unique electrical system. The cars were just featured on a Hot Rod TV episode called "triple threat" on SPEED channel. The car has finally hit the road and will be on the Hot Rod power tour next month. Still a few items to finish up but the car is looking pretty good these days. Here are some photos of the car.

Nice looking camaro, but it is probably not a good idea for your first post to hijack someones build thread. Other than the color is similar, I am not quite sure the camaro you posted is of the caliber and quality of the RS-V camaro. With that being said, welcome to the site and if you would like to share information about these cars perhaps you could introduce yourself and start your own thread.

It was never my intent to hijack someone thread. It was about sharing another LSA story out there. I appologize to the build guys. I would say "ouch" to say that this vehicle is not the quality of the RSV. This vehicle has quite a bit more than you can see. I might not have done exactly what they did but i can guarantee the build quality is just as good. I do think that there build is top notch and would like to see the end result.

I like how the bezel on your gauges stick out. I haven't seen that before. Very nice.

Now go make your own build thread! :willy: LOL

Unit2 05-24-2011 09:44 PM

Hi Jody,
After searching through the navigation options I can not figure out how to create a thread. I hate to sound so lame but it is not intuative and I need some help. If you can give me alittle guidance I will start a new thread and showcase alot of the concept vehicles I have worked on over the past 15 years along with my Camaro.

Thank you for your support,

Hey Unit - click on Project Updates, look for the button that says 'new thread' above the other threads and post away. There you go!

You probably have lots of updates you've been wanting to post, right Tyler?

;)

Leadfoot1 07-07-2011 10:19 AM

Jody,

where can i get a full size picture of your avatar...? I'd like to look at the details closer if possible.

Thanks!

Lead.

FadedSS 07-07-2011 03:26 PM

awesome build man! cant wait to see updated pics of the interior!

64pontiac 08-17-2011 08:01 AM

So... a little bit of an update. Been what, 4 months?, since I sent it to the upholstery shop. I am biting my tonque, and as you may have guessed we are less than pleased, but I have to be cordial about it because it is a local business and the automotive community where we are from is very tight knit.

In hind sight I should have kept talking to Tracy Weaver....... oh well.

Top is suppossedly done so we are picking up the car today. They didn't finish the back seat, door panels, etc so we have our work cut out for us. Basically 3 months behind from where we thought we would be.

I will post pics later today

waynieZ 08-17-2011 09:00 AM

I feel for you. Who's going to do the rest if the interior now?

64pontiac 08-17-2011 09:59 AM

We don't know yet...... we will do the carpet ourselves, probably will send the rear seat back out to the states to have it covered, and as far as the door panels, I'm not sure...... we modified a set of marquez panels, so they just have to be wrapped.....

Blake Foster 08-17-2011 12:29 PM

Sounds like you will be buying a sewing machine next! lol

64pontiac 08-17-2011 01:01 PM

I think I will be!! My wife took clothing design as a course before and can sew like crazy, I think I will get her to learn interior stuff!!!

http://i1204.photobucket.com/albums/...o/IMG_5409.jpg

So it was a ton of work, but what do you think of the modified convert frame and windshield frame? We made the top fit recessed like new cars, instead of hanging over the chrome frame.

67autocross 08-19-2011 12:37 PM

Really nice what you guys did with the top! I hope the car is at your shop next time I stop out so i can look it over again.

64pontiac 08-19-2011 01:21 PM

It's here for awhile now :willy: Mad rush to the finish I guess:faint:

70rs 08-20-2011 02:45 PM

The whole car looks great. I really like the mods to the top and windshield frame. Nice touch.

mexMan 08-20-2011 05:54 PM

Wow, I love the detail of the spider on the canvas roof, looks really cool!

fleet 08-21-2011 12:30 PM

Tops looks great Tyler.

That would be a real coup gaining control of interior goings on if you can make that work in-house.

Leadfoot1 08-21-2011 02:07 PM

Tyler,

Lovin the canvas top. I did mine a few months ago and it looks soooo much better than vinyl.

One thing. I am looking at that rear window of yours and see the folding line, the top i got has a 1 piece window(Glass, yes, and albeith you need to unzip it and lay it down before you pop the top and that this somewhat defeits my electric top) i think it looks much better than that line in the middle of the window. Just wanted to let you know its available and i think it could be just added to yours if (of course) you wanted to.

Car looks great.
