not a lot. I just bolted up the inner fenders and grabbed the corner by the control arm and tugged on it some. I ended up pulling it even with the control arm bolt. I now have atleast a 1/4 clearance at the closes point between the tire and fender.

Sonar Chief 12-31-2012 07:31 AM

That's an awesome color choice   Looking great!

makoshark 01-01-2013 03:11 AM

WOW! Car is looking great! Not much longer before you'll be driving this beauty.

randy 01-01-2013 06:33 PM

dse quadralink rear coilover

I have my rear coilovers pretty much slammed. Almost to the point im really close to the bump stops. I might cut the bump stop in half but i was wondering if dse makes shorter coilovers? The thread part of the coilover is just alittle long for my liking.

Frankenstine 01-01-2013 07:03 PM

Wow

super nice build:thumbsup: ? for ya, will you have any issues with the paint not matching because of the way you are doing it. not hating just currious:thumbsup:

randy 01-01-2013 07:13 PM

no. car is only jambed. proper way to paint is to jamb the car and reassemble. Paint all the panels on the car at the same time.

I thought the same thing at first but after seeing his work however he wants to paint it im fine with it. this car is the reason i chose him

randy 02-13-2013 04:27 PM

and engine is trans is mocked up on my buddies 69 dse subframe
http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c3...9/IMAG0317.jpg

its close so we are going to have to tilt the engine up some or mod the crossmember. chances are the crossmember will get flattened out.

http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c3...9/IMAG0315.jpg
http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c3...9/IMAG0312.jpg

the adapter will need to be turned the other way. currently its touching the headers

Just awesome. I'm in the tear down stage with my 67 and looking for a shop to do the metal work. I'm in the metroplex and would love to see you car and pick our brain about shops in the area and your experiences.

Todd in vancouver 03-05-2013 09:53 PM

That car looks AWESOME! What an incredible package you have built, very nice work.

Just a question for you , in the above picture from the back of the car.does the guy in the picture know you posted it with him digging for boogers?

KPC67 03-06-2013 07:02 AM

from hurst driveline

KPC67 03-06-2013 05:24 PM

^^^ hurst driveline I believe makes that cross member if memory serves??

(edit) beat me to it Randy

parsonsj 03-06-2013 05:43 PM

Well, that sucks. :( H-d only sells kits, not components. I'll keep looking. Sorry for the thread diversion.

randy 03-06-2013 07:54 PM

Talk it up. More info the better. Give them a call they might help you

randy 05-01-2013 12:49 PM

switched to a speedtech adjustable crossmember. Perfect clearance with the floor and headers. Much better

Does anyone know if a lm7 engine will work for a mock up? I have yet to purchase my engine/trans due to the wife wanting to buy a house lol. A friend is giving me his lm7 engine and im wondering if the outside of the block is the same, motor mounts will work, ls3 front drive accessory, and intake will all atleast bolt onto it so i can wait till i get a killer deal on a ls3/t56

What does everyone use to spray inside the doors or rush preventative and sound deadening? Im going to use dynamat for everything else but what about all the hard reach areas?

randy 05-15-2013 08:37 PM

Any difference swapping a ls3 from a corvette or a ls3 from a camaro? I remember before there was something about a different 24 or 58 reluctor?

GrabberGT 05-16-2013 07:04 AM

I dont know why, but I half expected to see this thing at GG this spring. Lets get it movin. You've got just over 4 months to the next event. :hairpullout:
