hey guys, i recently made a few improvements to the camaro. It now has a new LS6 in it and floater ford 9 inch rear end. special thanks to Albert melchoir of carbon kustoms, mike at mike norris motorsports and superior chevrolet of kc. The car now has 1400 miles on it and im on my third LS motor. lol but i think this one should hold up for a while and make a little more power. thanks again to everyone that has helped me out.

well thats good to hear about the LS6. its all stock except for cam, springs, and injectors. The floater is built by schreiner enterprises. The only thing i didnt care for when it showed up is the welds were a little on the crude side so i cleaned it up a little. but other than that the hubs and snouts and everything else looked pretty nice.

Sounds like you're gonna be seriously fast, Kevin:thumbsup: . There's nothing better than showin up with some new upgrades. :D I know you're in the Popular Hotrodding contest, are you gonna stick around for Motorstate, since you'll already be up there? Hope so. Looking foward to seeing you and Scott.

Car looked good when I saw you run Saturday, then you were gone. Did you break something?

coolwelder62 09-03-2012 04:39 PM

We think the unisteer rack gave up.

ma73z 09-03-2012 05:06 PM

That sucks! Also sucks I've seen you guys two years in a row and haven't gotten a chance to say hi, maybe next year.

Maybe I missed it but, what sub frame is under the front? Is it one of Scott's? Thanks Eric

The subframe in the car is one of scotts first designs. It has stock camaro geometry but is 4 or 5 inches narrower than a stock chassis which allows me to run an 11" front wheel. It has a unisteer power rack and speedway engineering splined sway bar. The setup works pretty well but i have played with the idea of pulling the chassis out and running one of scotts C6 subs.

What spindle are you using? Did Scott make the control arms? I am running a stock sub frame with spc uppers & L&h spindle. I also have the Unisteer rack. I would like to get more front tire on my car possibly a 275. What size tire are you running? My car is a 67. Thanks Eric

millertime179 09-04-2012 08:14 PM

the upper arms are ones scott built and the lowers are stock arms that i modified. It has a 2" narrower hub face than a stock camaro. i did this by narrowing the lower arms an inch which improved the camber gain. Im running stock spindles, I have a set of ridetech spindles but found they wont work with the two inch drop because the unisteer steering arms wont clear the wheel. They are designed to work with ridetechs true turn system. Right now im running BFG 285/30/18 on an 11" wheel with 5.75" backspace. I can run up to a 315 on the front with this chassis. My current chassis will probably be up for sale in the near future if i decide to go with one of scotts new C6 subframes.
