Sheetmetal work is absolutely amazing.. That being said, I am not digging the new body lines.. The original lines are classic. I am eager to see a finished product to see if you can change my mind. lol

mexMan 06-27-2011 09:45 PM

That's how the Nove should have been built from the start... I freaking love it... I think it would be really cool if you added to it a badge with your new logo! Like, Chevrolet Nova 1967 RS edition, limited run to one unit, GO GET YOURS!

Tom.A 06-27-2011 11:19 PM

Looks great. You guys have lots of style and fresh looks:thumbsup:

tjbruning 06-28-2011 09:35 AM

Love the lower body mods. Great work (as usual)

Thanks all:thumbsup:

MexMan, the original name for the car was RS700. RS for Roadster Shop and 700 for the HP that the motor dyno'ed at. There are several subtle RS's located around the car (including 1-off wheels, gauge pod, and intake.) for some subdued branding and we generally place a Roadster Shop logo on the firewall.

Here is a little more work on the rear of the car. Fabbed a rear lip spoiler and wrapped the lower quarter extensions into the bottom of the bumper. Also a preview of the custom billet tail lights.

Even YOU know you want a badge... I bet you do, I mean, your new logo it's PERFECT to make badges out of it, I'd buy one just for the hell of it.

But seriously, fab work is top notch.

Roadster Shop 06-29-2011 12:42 PM

Fab work on the hood:

We really liked the way the flat hood looks on these cars and wanted to keep that feel, but add some detail to it.

We again removed the body line from the center of the hood to give it a cleaner look than stock. We fabbed 2 air boxes that fit in the corner of the hood and remain flat when the hood is opened.

Roadster Shop 06-29-2011 12:44 PM

Since the air boxes are staying stationary, we needed to then fab new hood hinges since the air boxes were int he stock hood hinge location.

A few shots of the air boxes in place

Re-design on the hood inner structure to add more strength and work with the new configuration.

Here is some of the interior sheet metal work:

Started by laying out a dash design in foam to give us a guide to contour the sheet metal to.
