Show pictures of where you actually work on the car:) The area you take the pictures from is entirely too clean of an area to have had all that metal work done in. This is a very nice and very clean build

Haha, well I clean the workspace everytime before I call it a day. Thanks!

makoshark 02-11-2012 05:47 AM

I like your clinical and sterile approach to your build. By the time I am finished for the day working on my car, I am in medical need, so cleaning up is not an option.

They are SPA Formula F1/GP Grand Prix mirrors. Very small and light.

How do you keep your garage so clean? You can eat off that floor it looks like

Openers 04-14-2012 03:13 PM

Hehe, you can eat off it but youŽll get sick ;) I clean the work area after every time IŽve been there.

One of the coolest and most interesting threads on this forum.

Really like this project. Great build and skills. Only two things I would do differently if it were me.......front tire and wheel width and drop the fuel cell.

Openers 04-29-2012 01:22 PM

Thanks guys!

2" wider front wheels are already ordered. When the build is in its final stage a new set of tires will be mounted - wider up front and slightly less wide in the back...

cencalc6 04-29-2012 02:16 PM

Always looking forward to your progress....Excellent Photography!

I can never seem to get my head around if I am more impressed with your fabrication skills; your sense of design for the overall project; the cleanliness of your garage; your photography skills? :hail:

Whatever it is you thread is always worth a look and your build is sweet :woot:

If you don't mind asking, what tire size did you use for mockup?

28/12.5-15 in the back and approx 25/9-15 up front. Will go for 26/11-15 and 25/9.5-15 when finished.

Flash68 05-02-2012 12:36 AM

So freakin bad ass... where'd ya get that pedal assmby from?

That is exact why i ask. I am in the same boat. 28 in the back fill the wheelhouse pretty good, but 26 look a little small especially in a Nova with the more square shape. I limited to 17" rims and don't want to go with truck tires when going up to 28"... The wheels in your Camaro look perfect. Outstanding build  !

IŽve been looking at so many tires from different manufacturers, that I remembered wrong regarding sizes. These are the correct ones (that will be mounted):

Rear: 27.5x11-15"
Front: 26,5x9.5-15"

:)

Painted the intake manifold, timing cover and block. Valve covers will get the same treatment. My "dress-down" treatment :)

Yea that induction set up is bling enough. No reason to take any focus away from that.

Do it. All of the cool kids are getting individual runner setups.

Openers, I love the direction that you have taken with this car. The parts selection isn't half bad either
