Can't tell you how great you all have been---I sincerely do appreciate my extended car guy/gal family. I am very grateful for all of the messages here, the texts, phone calls and prayers you made for Cassie. Even the doc said this was an amazing case the way it all has worked out. Thank you all for your support. I'm not going to lie, this was a tough one, especially since I had to reacquiant myself with the washing machine, fyring pan, vacume cleaner and the almighty toilet brush since the kids are here with me. Gotta go grocery shopping now for blan stuff----can't tell you how happy I am to have to do it. Thank you to all of you again----looking forward to RTTC in March--we will celebrate then at my place with the Taco/Apple Pie party.

Doug,

You guys are in our Prayers..

I know you sure must be busy.

Give us an update when you can...

Final Update

So, we are doing pretty well thus far. I actually went back into the office today. Cassie's family will be around for the next 4 to 6 weeks for the recovery period to help with the kids. Lots of friends from church and our neighbors have been bringing food, offers of help to do the laundry, etc. Have never had so much food in the fridge at one time--and it's all good stuff. Cassie is doing well and is actually up and moving around--for small periods of time, but doing better than expected. We will go back in for first follow up appointment this coming Monday---blood work--to ensure the infection piece is under control. She is in good spirits considering. Kids are doing well, they are back in school this week since Tuesday, so a little less noise during the day. I wanted to thank you all again for the support and the well wishes. I have lots of phone calls to return, text messages to respond to, and some PM's as well, but wanted to one last time thank all of you for the out pouring---it was a great thing to see in the middle of the night when I couldn't sleep--I would check in here from my phone and felt very blessed and encouraged from the prayers and well wishes---especially in those first couple of days where it was touch and go with her. Thank you all again. We will be busy in this recovery phase, but I hope to check in from time to time as things lossen up and we start to return to a more normal routine. I'm still a go for RTTC in March, so hope to see many of you for the event. Thank you all again very much--I appreciate it more than you know.

Doug

I DID NOT text or email or phone.... because I knew what this goat rodeo was going to be like... and figured you'd post if and when time would allow.

Doug, that is great to hear. We're very happy for your family.

Been texting instead of calling, cuz with you guys being on the left coast there's less chance of the rhines getting crossed; per Donna Changstein.
